Hai Phong offers free walking tours.

A 2.5km walking tour through 6 famous landmarks in Hai Phong city has been launched since May 13th.

The new tourism product is called "Hai Phong: A Glimpse of the Past". The tour will start on the afternoon of May 13th, the 68th anniversary of the liberation of Hai Phong and the evening of the Red Phoenix Flower Festival 2023.

Joining the tour, visitors will walk with a local guide to explore the history, culture, architecture, and people of Hai Phong. The tour takes place regularly every Saturday afternoon, passing by Tam Bac Lake - the statue of General Le Chan - the City Theater - the City Museum - the City Post Office - Hoang Van Thu Bridge - and the spicy bread/No 1986 Cafe on Dinh Tien Hoang Street.

To participate, visitors can register on the Hai Phong Department of Tourism's fanpage. On the first day of the launch, the organizers will hold a program at Hai Phong train station at 8:00 AM. There, 3,000 vouchers offering discounts on technology-based bicycle rentals, food tours, and other tourist activities in Hai Phong will be distributed to visitors.

Mr. Nguyen Nam Phuong, representative of the travel company organizing the tour, said that they will use the registration information to contact tourists and organize tour groups, with each group consisting of 15 to 20 people.

In recent years, Hai Phong has become a popular destination thanks to the food tour trend. According to the Department of Tourism, during the April 30th holiday, Hai Phong welcomed 12,000 visitors participating in this activity. "This new product will bring visitors new and exciting experiences of Hai Phong," said Mr. Vu Huy Thuong, Deputy Director of the Department.
