In many localities, preparations for the election are nearing completion. Local authorities are continuing to review voter lists, intensify public awareness campaigns, and develop plans to ensure security and order so that election day proceeds safely and in accordance with regulations.
The border commune of Ia Dom has 6,826 voters scattered across a wide area, and transportation in some areas remains difficult. Therefore, the local authorities have determined that preparation must begin early and be thorough in every step.
Mr. Le Trong Phuc, Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune and Vice Chairman of the Commune Election Committee, said that because many hamlets and villages are far from the center, the election staff had to work even at night to distribute voter cards, ensuring that all citizens received their cards on time.
In addition, the commune police force, in coordination with various departments, agencies, and organizations, is strengthening its monitoring of the local situation and proactively preventing and stopping violations of the law.
Specific plans for traffic management, fire prevention and control, ballot box security, polling station security, and handling unforeseen situations have also been developed, closely aligned with local realities.
In Lo Pang commune, the People's Committee has directed the relevant departments to prepare sufficient main and auxiliary ballot boxes to serve voters in all areas, including those with special circumstances.
Mr. Le Loi, Chairman of the Commune People's Committee and Vice Chairman of the Commune Election Committee, said: The election committees and polling stations are continuing to review and carefully check the voter list; any errors or changes in information are promptly supplemented and adjusted to ensure the legitimate rights of citizens.
Decoration work at polling stations is being expedited to ensure a dignified and compliant environment; visual and mobile propaganda methods, as well as the local broadcasting system, are also being strengthened to create an atmosphere of excitement leading up to this major event.
Dak Po commune has 19 polling stations with a total of 14,035 voters.
Up to this point, polling stations have been set up in a dignified and proper manner; voter lists, candidate lists, and polling station regulations have been fully posted for voters to easily review.
The commune's Election Committee has completed the delivery and distribution of election materials and ballot papers to the polling stations.
According to Ms. Bui Thi Thuong, Chairwoman of the People's Committee and Vice Chairwoman of the Election Committee of Dak Po commune, the locality is stepping up propaganda about the significance of the election.
The propaganda content focuses on election procedures and regulations; the significance of each ballot; and the rights and responsibilities of voters.
"The commune has also developed contingency plans for electricity and communication facilities; prepared supplementary ballot boxes for the elderly and sick who cannot come to the polling stations; and proactively made other necessary preparations to be ready to respond to any unforeseen situations, ensuring that the election takes place successfully and in accordance with regulations," Ms. Thuong said.
Voter beliefs and expectations
Besides the good organizational preparations, what is easily noticeable in many localities is the interest and expectations of voters regarding this election.
Ms. Tran Thi Thu Thao (a voter in Binh Dinh ward) believes that the most important thing voters expect from elected representatives is a sense of responsibility and a commitment to the people.
According to her, after being elected, representatives need to maintain regular contact with voters, promptly noting and reflecting the legitimate suggestions of the people.
"The people expect the delegates not only to fulfill their duties in parliament but also to be more closely involved in reality, paying more attention to the lives of the people, especially regarding social welfare policies and vulnerable groups," Ms. Thao expressed.
Sharing the same sentiment, Mr. Tran Hoang Vinh (a voter in Quy Nhon ward) places high hopes on positive changes in essential areas such as education , healthcare, and infrastructure.
According to him, policies directly related to people's lives should be given attention and priority by elected representatives, who should contribute their voices to improve these policies, ensuring they are consistent with reality and the development requirements of the country.
"I believe that if representatives truly listen to and understand the concerns of the people, then policy decisions will be more realistic. When the voices of voters are valued, the people's trust in elected bodies will become increasingly strong," Mr. Vinh shared.

From the perspective of the younger generation, voter Bui Minh Danh (18 years old, from An Dien Bac village, Cuu An commune) expressed his excitement at participating in the election for the first time.
"This is the first time I've exercised my civic right, so I want to choose very carefully. I hope that through my vote I will elect truly outstanding representatives who are worthy of representing the people," Danh shared.
From the meticulous preparations of all levels and sectors to the attention and expectations of voters, the atmosphere leading up to the election is spreading widely throughout social life.
When all preparations are complete, and when voters' trust is built upon concrete actions at the grassroots level, the election will truly be a great festival for the entire nation.
