Thong Nhat village has 173 households, ethnic minorities account for 46% of the total population, with 11 ethnic groups living. This is a purely agricultural village, the land is barren, not favored by nature, the income of the people mainly comes from growing food crops and small-scale trading. Although life is still difficult, the village and neighborly relationship is always tight.

A clear proof is that the voluntary fund-raising activities of the people to help each other overcome difficulties have been maintained sustainably for the past 10 years. Currently, in the village, there are 4 voluntary funds of the Farmers' Association, Women's Association, Elderly Association and the Village Fund, supporting revolving capital, helping nearly 100 people to get loans each year.

This is considered a timely lifeline to support, helping people have more money to cover living expenses, invest in production, or overcome difficult times. It is not simply money, but also the trust and warmth of the community that is given.

Being a purely agricultural village, where the main livelihood depends on slash-and-burn cultivation such as growing cassava, corn, and rice. The harsh climate and infertile soil make life difficult for the people. However, the precious thing is that the difficulties do not weaken the will, but on the contrary, deepen the sharing and mutual support of the village and neighborly love.

Every time the village launches a movement, from building a new cultural life, maintaining environmental hygiene, to calling for and mobilizing help for those in sudden difficult circumstances, with Mrs. Phon's voice, the villagers all agree, are ready to respond and actively participate.

Typically, in 2025, the village promptly donated 6 million VND to support the family of Mr. Nguyen Minh Hieu whose daughter had an accident, organized activities to visit and give gifts to policy families and families in difficult circumstances, and supported people affected by natural disasters.

She also worked with the Village Front Committee to create exciting cultural, artistic and sports movements to improve the spiritual life of the people.
