On the afternoon of July 3rd, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training officially announced the entrance exam scores for 10th grade in the 2024-2025 school year.
Accordingly, the cutoff score for admission to Nguyen Thuong Hien High School continues to lead, with 24.25 points (first choice). Thus, candidates must have an average score of over 8 points in each subject to pass.

Following Nguyen Thuong Hien High School, three other high schools also have a cutoff score of 23.25 points: Nguyen Huu Huan High School, Tran Phu High School, and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School.
Next, Gia Dinh High School and the Practice High School - University of Education (Ho Chi Minh City) both have a 10th grade entrance exam cutoff score of 23 points; Mac Dinh Chi High School, Le Quy Don High School, Phu Nhuan High School, and Nguyen Huu Cau High School all have a cutoff score of 22.5 points.
Compared to last year, only the High School of Practice - University of Education saw an increase of 0.5 points. The remaining schools all saw a decrease in their admission scores, ranging from 0.25 to 1.25 points.
Conversely, the lowest entrance scores for 10th grade were at Binh Khanh, An Nghia, and Can Thanh High Schools, with 10.5 points. This score is similar to last year. Many other schools in Can Gio and Cu Chi districts, and Thu Duc City also had low entrance scores, ranging from 10.5 to 12 points.
