Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Automobile, Motorcycle, and Bicycle Association, affirmed that E10 gasoline fully meets national standards, conforms to international practices, and is safe for most vehicles currently in circulation.
"The claims that E10 is harmful to engines, reduces power, or increases the risk of fire and explosion are not scientifically based. More than 60 countries worldwide have used E10 effectively, so transparent communication is needed to build consumer trust," Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh emphasized.

Representing the company, Mr. Le Trung Hung, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Oil Corporation (PVOIL), stated that PVOIL has fully prepared the raw materials, blending system, storage, and distribution of E10 gasoline.
The company proactively sources ethanol domestically, combining it with imports from the US, Brazil , etc., using base gasoline from the Nghi Son and Dung Quat refineries. With a blending capacity of approximately 4.1 million m³ of biofuel per year, PVOIL is capable of meeting the needs of its system and is ready to support other distributors when needed.

According to Mr. Nguyen Khac Hieu, Deputy Head of the Energy Management Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, the city currently has more than 1,170 retail gasoline stations, consuming approximately 13,000 m³ per day, accounting for nearly 20% of the national production. To sustainably develop E10 gasoline, it is necessary to ensure a stable ethanol supply, attract investment in green fuel production, and build a fuel reserve mechanism to serve energy security.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development (Ministry of Industry and Trade), said that after one month of widespread deployment of E10 gasoline, the Ministry of Industry and Trade is focusing on ensuring supply and preventing shortages or disruptions in the supply chain.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade, in coordination with the Ministry of Science and Technology, is strengthening quality control at blending facilities and sales points, and so far no violations have been detected. Along with ensuring supply and quality, the promotion of the benefits of E10 gasoline will continue to be intensified to contribute to energy security and promote the use of green fuels.
