Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology, delivered a speech.
On October 16th, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages - Information Technology held its graduation ceremony, awarding bachelor's degrees to 1,550 students and master's degrees to 11 postgraduate students.
Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Rector of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology, said that these students were admitted to the university at the same time the COVID-19 pandemic broke out in Vietnam. "Their academic journey was not easy. They overcame many difficulties and challenges, endured grueling study sessions, stressful exams, and demanding projects and essays. But they did not give up. Their perseverance, willpower, and determination have been rewarded with today's results," Dr. Tuan reiterated.
The Rector of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology also noted that graduation is a milestone but not the end. Graduation does not mean discarding books and putting aside learning.
Conversely, this is just the beginning of a larger journey of learning and experience. Life is constantly changing. Lifelong learning is an indispensable journey for survival and growth in a rapidly evolving world .
"After today, you will enter a new phase – a revolutionary phase in learning. The knowledge you gain at school is the foundation, but to succeed, you need to constantly train, update, and develop yourselves. Life is an endless game, and those who refuse to learn and adapt will be eliminated. Therefore, continue to expand your knowledge, not only through books, but also from practical experiences, from the small setbacks and successes on your journey," the school leader advised.
New graduates receive their diplomas at the graduation ceremony.
Out of a total of 1,550 students graduating from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages - Information Technology, 198 students received awards for their academic achievements throughout their course of study. Among them, 44 graduates received distinction, and 154 graduated with honors. Notably, six students graduated early, completing their program in just three years with impressive academic results: one with distinction and five with honors.
The school also awarded prizes to students who graduated with honors, excellence, and early graduation, totaling 104,500,000 VND.
