Speaking after the match, the 57-year-old strategist expressed his disappointment: "I am truly sorry that I couldn't bring victory to the fans. As head coach, I feel the responsibility is mine and I offer my sincere apologies to everyone."

Mr. Moriyasu admitted that being eliminated in the knockout round was very painful. However, he affirmed that the players fought with all their might and there was nothing to regret about their fighting spirit.
