USAID implements activities to support people with disabilities in the Mekong Delta with projects in Bac Lieu and Ca Mau.
Today, April 25, the US Diplomatic Mission in Vietnam, through the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, held a launching ceremony for a project to support people with disabilities funded by USAID. Support is deployed in the province.
This support was first announced during the visit of US President Joe Biden to Vietnam in September 9, according to which the US will expand the support program for people with disabilities to two new provinces, Bac Lieu and Bac Lieu. Ca Mau, bringing the total number of provinces receiving support to 2023 provinces.

Speaking at the event, USAID Vietnam Director Aler Grubbs said: “For many years, the US government, through USAID, has focused our activities to support people with disabilities in 8 sprayed provinces. Heavy spraying of Agent Orange in central and southern Vietnam.

The project implemented by USAID in Ca Mau is called "Supporting the implementation and coordination of policies and rights of people with disabilities".
