Hoa Phat hands over a batch of container shells to VSICO.

At the end of May, Hoa Phat handed over 400 container shells to its strategic partner, VSICO Maritime Joint Stock Company ( VSICO ) , bringing the total number of containers delivered to this partner to 700 since the beginning of the year . The shipment was manufactured at Hoa Phat's container factory in Phu My II Expanded Industrial Park, Phu My town, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

Attending the handover ceremony were the Board of Directors of Hoa Phat Container Manufacturing Joint Stock Company and VSICO Maritime Joint Stock Company.

Mr. Vu Duc Sinh, Director of Hoa Phat Container Manufacturing Joint Stock Company, said that VSICO is a renowned shipping company with a long history and is one of the leading container shipping companies in Vietnam. With its long history and continuous development, VSICO has risen to second place nationwide in terms of throughput at domestic ports. Following this shipment, both parties hope to continue cooperating to supply more container shells in the future.

“This order from VSICO is for the VSICO Chan May Port project (berths 4 and 5) in the Chan May – Lang Co Economic Zone, Thua Thien Hue province, with a total investment of over 1.678 billion VND. This port is capable of receiving cargo ships up to 70,000 tons and container ships up to 4,000 TEUs. Completing this order will not only meet VSICO's needs for transporting and storing goods but also contribute to promoting the development of the maritime industry and the economy of the Central region,” Mr. Sinh added.

With the most advanced equipment and technology available today, Hoa Phat's container shells are designed, manufactured, and meet international standards, fully satisfying the technical requirements for intercontinental cargo transportation. Hoa Phat's container products meet all international standards for seaworthy containers and are certified by the international classification society Bureau Veritas.

VSICO representatives expressed satisfaction with the quality and design of Hoa Phat's container shells. Since 2023, VSICO has confidently placed large orders for container shells from Hoa Phat. Hoa Phat's container shells are manufactured according to VSICO's detailed specifications and requirements. Thanks to the use of solvent-based paint, they have higher durability and stability compared to water-based paint. VSICO plans to explore further contracts with Hoa Phat in the near future.

Previously, Hoa Phat had delivered container shipments to many major partners such as Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC), New Way Lines, Vietsun, Topaz Marine, Vinafco, etc.

Hoa Phat's container manufacturing plant has a total capacity of 500,000 TEU/year, focusing on 20- and 40-foot standard cargo containers. Phase 1, with a capacity of 200,000 TEU/year, has been completed and is operational. With this capacity, Hoa Phat is the largest ISO-certified container equipment manufacturer in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
