On July 19, according to the Office II of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Most Venerable Thich Thien Nhon - Deputy Supreme Patriarch of the Council of Patriarchs, Chairman of the Executive Council - on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Executive Council, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province announced the passing of Most Venerable Thich Hue Tri.

According to the obituary, Venerable Thich Hue Tri passed away at 6:00 a.m. on July 19 (June 14, Giap Thin year), at Quang Duc Zen Monastery (District 3, Ho Chi Minh City). The Venerable lived for 73 years, 50 years as a monk.

The golden coffin of monk Thich Hue Tri is enshrined at Quang Duc Zen Monastery.

The burial ceremony will be at 8:00 p.m. on July 19. The funeral will begin at 7:00 a.m. on July 20. The memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on July 21.

Then, the monk's coffin was invited to Kim Tien pagoda ( Hue city, Thua Thien Hue province).

The ceremony of moving the body into the tower will take place at 6:00 a.m. on July 25 at Kim Tien Pagoda, Hue City.

Most Venerable Thich Hue Tri - Vice President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Deputy Head of the Central Sangha Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha; Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province;

The Venerable is also former Deputy Chief of Office II of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, former Head of the Central Committee of Legal Affairs of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.
