Vietnam Space Week 2026 will take place in Can Tho City on May 28th with many exciting activities such as: interacting with astronauts; experiencing "STEM Day" and "EdTech Day"; having dinner and networking with former astronauts; exploring the night sky; awarding "Wings of Dreams" scholarships…
The event was organized by the People's Committee of Can Tho City; the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City, Saigon Times Foundation, Hau Giang Technology Incubation and Innovation Support Center, Steamzone Mekong, and other departments, agencies, and units.
Vietnam Space Week 2026 is organized to inspire the younger generation through the stories and practical experiences of astronauts about working and living in space.
The program also shares scientific research related to Earth protection, reducing environmental pollution, responding to climate change, warning of the risk of celestial collisions and extraterrestrial life; thereby contributing to career education , career orientation, and promoting STEM education for young people.
Through this program, many new projects and initiatives in the field of space will be introduced, contributing to inspiring future generations of scientists, engineers, and explorers.
This also provides an opportunity for individuals and organizations from many countries and cultures to interact and connect through activities related to the space sector; while promoting international cooperation, enhancing mutual understanding, and creating a foundation for future collaborative activities.

The highlight of the event was the "Astronaut Talk Show": Astronauts connected with the Space Virtual Tour platform, introducing the International Space Station (ISS) and space research activities. They also presented the "Returning Humans to the Moon - Artemis II" mission and the future direction of the aerospace industry.
Interactions between astronauts and students, teachers, scientists, experts, and delegates. Experiential activities such as "STEM Day" and "EdTech Day" with a STEM competition for middle school, high school, and college/university students, including three categories: Robotics, Drone, and Bakery.
The event includes a dinner and a live interaction between former astronauts and the first-place winning teams from the STEM (Robotics, Drone, Bakery) competition. Additionally, there will be a "Starry Night" program – exploring the night sky and astronomy, guided by experts, astronomical societies, and former astronauts.
The "Wings of Dreams" scholarship program awards scholarships to high school and university students from disadvantaged backgrounds who demonstrate a strong will to excel in their studies.
