The work of the Association and the emulation movement have achieved many results.
Through its legal consulting and assistance activities, the Lawyers Association of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province is truly a reliable address and a legal support for the people.
Sharing the results of the association's work and emulation movement in 2023, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, Chairman of the Lawyers Association of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, said that the role and position of the Provincial Lawyers Association and its branches at all levels have been affirmed, creating trust among the Party committees, government, and people of the locality. This is demonstrated through the work of building legal policies, disseminating and educating the law, providing legal advice, legal assistance, advising on resolving complaints and denunciations, participating in monitoring the implementation of laws, etc., serving well the political tasks of socio-economic development in the locality, agencies, and units.

Regarding participation in policy and lawmaking, in 2023, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Lawyers Association and its branches at all levels participated with high responsibility, organizing 76 conferences and providing feedback on 547 draft laws and legal documents at the request of the National Assembly Delegation, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee. They also reviewed, assessed, and inspected 197 sub-legal documents at the request of local agencies and organizations.
Legal dissemination and education activities were carried out regularly, effectively applying information technology in propaganda with 81 direct events and 6,285 participants. In coordination with other organizations, 132 events were held with over 12,124 participants…
In parallel, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Lawyers Association has focused on providing legal advice, legal assistance, and advice on resolving complaints and mediating disputes at the grassroots level, achieving many positive results.
Following the directives of the Vietnam Lawyers Association regarding receiving citizens at its headquarters, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Lawyers Association has implemented and directed its branches at all levels to seriously carry out this directive, developing many effective models and forms of activity in various units and localities, such as the models: "Law and Life"; "Successful Mediation"; and "Q&A between Workers and Businesses".
Through this, legal advice was provided in 1,866 cases, legal assistance in 306 cases, consultation on resolving complaints and denunciations in 86 cases, and mediation in 463 cases, with 378 cases successfully mediated.
In addition, the Provincial Lawyers Association has provided valuable information regarding negative practices and corruption in the areas of land management and project bidding within the province to the Internal Affairs agency and local Party committees and authorities for consideration.
Participated in 61 inter-agency monitoring sessions chaired by the Vietnam Fatherland Front and monitoring teams of the People's Councils at all levels regarding local political events such as: policies supporting poor households, child protection work, medical examination and treatment activities, and compliance with laws on crime prevention and control and legal violations…
In 2023, organizational work was one of the key, regular, and crucial tasks of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Lawyers Association. Notably, one branch of the Lawyers Association was established under the Provincial Women's Union, with 11 members, along with the admission of 46 new members.
Regarding emulation and commendation work, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Lawyers Association received one certificate of merit for the collective and one for an individual from the Vietnam Association for the Protection of Children's Rights. Lawyers Associations at all levels received 18 certificates of merit for collectives and 27 certificates of merit for individuals from various sectors, agencies, and the People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities.
However, alongside the achievements, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Lawyers Association frankly acknowledges that there are still many shortcomings and limitations, such as the weak and uneven emulation movement in some levels of the association, and the slow reporting of information. The association's activities have not been closely linked to the patriotic emulation movement at the local level, in agencies and units, to create greater appeal.
Social critique and law enforcement oversight have not been proactive, judicial reform and the fight against corruption and negative practices at the local level still have many limitations, and the number of corruption cases is increasing and becoming more complex, causing public outrage.

To ensure the activities of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Lawyers Association become increasingly strong and in-depth, regarding the direction and tasks for 2024, participation in the development of legal policies is identified as one of the key tasks of all levels of the Association, in researching, discussing, and contributing opinions to draft laws and other documents.
Furthermore, actively studying and continuously improving legal knowledge, professional expertise, skills, and professional ethics ensures the professionalization of legal consulting, legal aid, complaint resolution, and mediation at the grassroots level, truly serving as a legal support for the people.

The Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Lawyers Association continues to effectively implement the major policies and solutions regarding organizational and personnel matters outlined in the Resolution of the Provincial Lawyers Association Executive Committee for the 2019-2024 term, doing a good job in building, consolidating, and strengthening grassroots association organizations. It manages and utilizes facilities, equipment, and assets for their intended purpose and in accordance with the law.
In 2024, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Lawyers Association also determined to continue to improve the effectiveness of emulation and reward movements; the work of protecting children's rights; judicial and administrative reform; law enforcement supervision; and social criticism… Especially the organization of the Lawyers Association Congresses at all levels, leading up to the 7th Congress of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Lawyers Association, term 2024 - 2029.
