TTH.VN - Practically commemorating the 75th anniversary of Uncle Ho's appeal for patriotic emulation (June 11, 6 - June 1948, 11), the 6th anniversary of Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 2023, 76 - July 27, 7), the Women's Union of Emulation Cluster 1947, the Ministry of Public Security held a political activity about the source in Con Dao (Ba Ria - Vung Tau).
During the journey back to the source, the delegates, who are the Commander of the Party and Political Affairs Office, the Executive Committee of the Women's Union, Emulation Cluster No.5 of the Police Department of 6 provinces: Thua Thien Hue, Quang Tri, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An and Thanh Hoa came to offer flowers and incense at Hang Duong Cemetery - the resting place of thousands of revolutionary soldiers and patriots.
During the resistance war against the French colonialists and the US imperialists, 20.000 soldiers died in Con Dao, but so far, only 1.921 graves have been found; in which, 713 graves were found with names and hometowns.
Delegates visited the graves of martyrs, People's Commissar Vo Thi Sau, patriot Nguyen An Ninh, General Secretary Le Hong Phong. The delegation organized a visit to historical sites, which marked the heroic and indomitable struggle of tens of thousands of revolutionary soldiers in the two wars of resistance against the French and the Americans to save the country.
Also on this political trip to the source, the delegation visited and presented 20 gifts to former prisoners of Con Dao; policy families and women in difficult circumstances in the island district.
Resource activities in Con Dao have contributed to helping women members of the Provincial Police in Emulation Cluster 5 deepen their understanding of the nation's revolutionary tradition; improve political bravery, sense of responsibility, overcome all difficulties and challenges to successfully complete all assigned tasks.
