TTH.VN – On the morning of August 16, the Provincial Confederation of Labor held a conference to collect opinions on amending and supplementing the Charter of Vietnam Trade Union. Attending the conference were the President, Vice President of the Trade Union at the grassroots level in the whole province.
At the conference, representatives of the units focused on commenting on issues such as: Scope, subjects, conditions, order and procedures for joining the Vietnam Trade Union; the rights of trade union members, the right to suspend activities, suspend trade union dues when temporarily losing jobs; the right to be exempted or reduced from trade union fees for trade unionists in extremely difficult circumstances; the right to continue as a union member without having to re-enroll for union members who enjoy the retirement regime but continue to work under the contract; conditions for establishment of grassroots trade unions, especially regulations on joining Vietnamese trade unions of workers' organizations at enterprises.
On that basis, the majority of opinions said that the Charter of Vietnam Trade Union should meet the requirements of the new situation; The revised content should be close to the trade union's activities. On this occasion, the conference also consulted on amending and supplementing the draft guidance on grading, evaluating and classifying the immediate superior trade union at the grassroots level.
