Truong Son Traditional Association

On the morning of May 17th, the Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Veterans Association of Sam Son City held a ceremony to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the opening of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, the Truong Son Army's traditional day (May 19, 1959 - May 19, 2024), and to summarize the Association's work during the first six months of the year.

The delegates performed the flag-raising ceremony.

At the commemoration ceremony, in a warm atmosphere of camaraderie, delegates reviewed the history of the 65th anniversary of the opening of the Ho Chi Minh Trail - the traditional day of the Truong Son Army.

The Truong Son transport system was not only a crucial strategic route, but also a fierce battleground between our forces and the enemy. In peacetime , the route became a symbol of the strength of unity and determination to fight for the independence, freedom, peace, and unification of the Fatherland, as well as the solidarity between the people of the three countries: Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

Veterans of the Truong Son campaign residing in Sam Son City attended the commemoration ceremony.

Continuing the tradition of the Truong Son soldiers, the Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Veterans Association of Sam Son City was established in September 2013. Currently, the Association has more than 600 members. Over the years, former Truong Son officers and soldiers of the city have always actively participated in building the Party and government, and developing the city into a thriving tourist destination.

Over more than 10 years of operation, the Association has been honored with Certificates of Merit from the Central Association, the Provincial Association, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and a Certificate of Commendation from the Chairman of the Sam Son City People's Committee for its outstanding achievements in the Association's activities.

Mr. Le Duc Phan, Chairman of the Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Veterans Association, presented commemorative medals to former Truong Son soldiers in Sam Son City.

Mr. Le Duc Phan, Chairman of the Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Tradition Association, presented Certificates of Commendation to collectives and individuals.

On this occasion, the Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Veterans Association of the province awarded 17 honorary commemorative medals on the 65th anniversary of the founding of Unit 559 and certificates of merit from the Central Association and the Provincial Association to collectives and individuals of the Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Veterans Association of Sam Son City. Many collectives and individuals also received certificates of merit from the Truong Son - Ho Chi Minh Trail Veterans Association of Sam Son City.
