With a history spanning over 5,000 years, China has amazed the world with its rich and distinctive culture, producing countless precious artifacts. However, as time passes, many of these valuable cultural relics and artifacts have been buried underground, causing regret.

Today, with the continuous development of archaeology, these treasures are gradually being brought to light. When "reborn," these artifacts and the stories of their origins become witnesses that help future generations reconstruct a historical picture that seemed to have been forgotten in the past. The story below is an example.

In the early 1990s, China began constructing a high-speed rail system for the country. When this project was underway in Jiangxi Province, an unexpected event occurred.

According to Sohu, during railway construction, an excavator suddenly stopped working in front of a large mound of earth. Despite the deployment of numerous machines to dig it up, they were unable to move the hard mass of soil. Upon investigation, the construction team learned that cultural artifacts had been found in the nearby area. Therefore, they immediately suspected that beneath this mound of earth might be an ancient tomb containing many valuable items.

To verify, the construction team quickly used explosives to blow up the mound of earth. Immediately afterward, the sight that unfolded shocked everyone present at the scene.

It turned out that the mound was so hard and durable because inside it was an ancient structure built of brick. Believing it could be an important cultural relic, the construction team immediately notified archaeological experts to come and study it. The site was immediately sealed off. A range of high-tech equipment was used by experts to conduct a comprehensive examination of the newly discovered structure.

After many days and nights of research, geological tests revealed that the mound above this tomb has existed for thousands of years, and within it lies an ancient pyramid-shaped tomb. This is why its roof rises high, forming a large mound. Meanwhile, the lower part of the tomb extends underground, covering an area of over 900 square meters.

Archaeologists say the entire tomb is made of green bricks, with a sturdy outer wall over 10 meters high. When they decided to venture deeper inside to study it, they discovered that the tomb had been "awakened" earlier. Cunning grave robbers had visited the site and stolen most of the valuable items inside.

After collecting the remaining treasures, experts said that the tomb still contained more than 100 ancient artifacts. Among them were antique lamps with unique carvings and an exquisitely crafted celadon tea set, which are of great research value.

Based on the clues gathered, experts predicted that the owner of this tomb was a prominent figure from the past. Later, after studying the artifacts found and the tomb's structure, they determined that it was over 1,700 years old and originated from the late Eastern Wu dynasty – one of the three kingdoms of the Three Kingdoms period (220-280) in Chinese history. The owner of the tomb was Tan Shao, the brother-in-law of King Sun Quan of Wu. Despite his high position in the court, he did not want to be involved in power struggles, so he returned to his hometown, lived a peaceful life until his death, and was buried here.

Experts also believe that the discovery of this treasure is a significant milestone and holds immense importance for the Chinese archaeological community. It also contributes to the preservation and conservation of the ancient cultural values of a nation with thousands of years of history.
