Prolonged heavy rain has caused flooding on the La Son - Tuy Loan expressway, specifically the section passing through Hue city, resulting in serious landslides between KM12+000 and KM14+000. This has caused traffic congestion, paralyzing traffic on the route and posing a safety risk to people and vehicles traveling on the road.
At the scene on the highway, a section of the embankment suffered a serious landslide, with dozens of cubic meters of soil, rocks, and trees spilling onto the road. Several vehicles were stranded; among them, one car was damaged by floodwaters and had to be towed away from the dangerous area by a rescue vehicle.
Traffic police have set up checkpoints, placed warning signs, and directed and rerouted vehicles from the Cam Lo - La Son expressway to the Phu Loc intersection to access National Highway 1.
