According to the Daily Mail, legend Bobby Charlton passed away on the morning of October 21st (local time) surrounded by his family. Prior to this, since being diagnosed with dementia in late 2020 and no longer being mentally sharp, the former English star had not appeared in public.
Bobby Charlton, born in 1937, is considered one of the greatest players in English football history. He was a key member of the England team that won the 1966 World Cup. During his illustrious career, Bobby Charlton made 758 appearances for Manchester United and 106 appearances for the England national team.
" It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Sir Bobby Charlton early Saturday morning. He passed away surrounded by his family. The Charlton family wishes to thank all those who cared for him, loved him, and supported him. We ask for privacy during this time," the family of legendary Bobby Charlton announced.
