Despite the unstable global situation and the severe damage caused by Typhoon No. 3 domestically, with the determination to quickly overcome the consequences of the storm and floods, stabilize people's lives, promote the restoration of production and business, maintain macroeconomic stability, and actively promote economic growth, the Government and the Prime Minister have resolutely directed ministries, sectors, and localities to continue implementing solutions to overcome the consequences of Typhoon No. 3; develop socio-economic development, the state budget, and improve the business environment and enhance national competitiveness in 2024.

Furthermore, ministries, sectors, and localities have closely monitored fluctuations in the global and domestic economic situation, while striving to implement the assigned tasks and solutions, thereby gaining the trust and support of the people and the business community. As a result, the socio-economic situation in the third quarter and the first nine months of 2024 continued its positive trend, with many important results achieved in various sectors, creating momentum for growth in the remaining months of the year.

Entering the fourth quarter of 2024, Vietnam's socio-economic forecast continues to face many difficulties and challenges. Due to Vietnam's high degree of openness, the economy is highly susceptible to risks and instability in the world, including economic, political , natural disaster, and disease outbreaks. Achieving the 6.8-7% growth target for 2024 is a significant challenge, requiring the concerted efforts of the entire political system, businesses, and the people nationwide. All sectors and levels must strengthen forecasting, proactively manage operations flexibly and appropriately to the new situation, promptly respond to any emerging circumstances, and steadfastly implement growth targets effectively while maintaining macroeconomic stability. They must actively promote economic growth, control inflation, provide maximum support to the business sector, and ensure social security and livelihoods.
