After more than a week since releasing the first public beta of iOS 18 to users worldwide , the company has recently launched the second public beta.

Therefore, users who have registered for Apple's beta testing program can also download and install iOS 18.1 and preview upcoming features on the iPhone, including Apple Intelligence features.

iOS 18.1 brings the first features of Apple Intelligence such as: Writing Tools, Reduce Interruptions, notification summarization, a writing tool to edit and rewrite text, a smarter Siri, cleanup in the Photos app... and is expected to be officially released in October.

Reportedly, the public beta 1 version is based on the recent developer beta 5 versions.

If you are already a member of Apple's public beta program, you can download the update by going to Settings - Software Update - Public Beta Options. Alternatively, you can sign up for the free program through Apple's website and then install the update.

Note: Apple Intelligence features require a compatible device. If users are using an older iPhone to install iOS 18.1 beta 2, they will not be able to access any AI capabilities.

Devices that support AI features include: iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 series.
