At the "It's glowtime" event on September 10th, Apple unveiled the iPhone 16 series along with new AirPods headphones and a new Apple Watch.
In addition, Apple also revealed that the iOS 18 operating system will be released on September 16th, bringing new features to users such as customizable Home Screen, a redesigned Control Center, and especially Apple Intelligence.
iPhone models compatible with iOS 18 include: iPhone XR, iPhone XS, XS Max, iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max, iPhone 14 series, and iPhone 15 series.
The iPhone 16 series will come pre-installed with iOS 18. Apple Intelligence only applies to the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 series due to their high system requirements.
To update to iOS 18 on compatible iPhones, on September 16th, users should go to Settings - General - Software Update.
