It's still too early to say for sure what Apple's upcoming high-end iPhone models will be like. However, leaked information from reliable sources has painted an exciting picture of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max .

Larger screen, larger battery

A larger smartphone doesn't necessarily mean it's better than a smaller one, but many people are still chasing the trend of phones with bigger screens.

Perhaps that's why Apple continues to cater to user demand with larger-screen iPhone models. Recent leaks suggest the iPhone 16 Pro will have a 6.3-inch screen (up from the iPhone 15 Pro's 6.1-inch screen) and the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a 6.9-inch screen (up from the iPhone 15 Pro Max's 6.7-inch screen).

Although there has been no confirmation from Apple, this information is more or less consistent with the figures mentioned in reports over the past few months.

In addition to larger screens, the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max are also rumored to have larger batteries, expected to deliver battery life exceeding 30 hours.

At their best, Apple's current ultra-premium handsets are said to offer around 16 and 19 hours of use between charges, respectively. Therefore, an increase to over 30 hours would certainly be considered a major upgrade.

Of course, this cannot be verified yet because the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are still under development. The actual battery life will only be known after the devices are used in real-world conditions.

Large storage capacity, large camera, and new colors.

Perhaps the iPhone doesn't need 2TB of storage. However, there will be a few people who want to buy an iPhone with that much, but the price will certainly not be cheap. Therefore, the information about a massive storage upgrade won't be as appealing as the following feature.

That's a major upgrade exclusive to the iPhone 16 Pro Max: a camera upgrade. According to leaked information, the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be equipped with a custom 48MP Sony IMX903 image sensor.

Note that the iPhone 15 Pro Max uses the Sony IMX803 as its 48MP main rear camera. Therefore, this upgrade to the "903" in the iPhone 16 Pro Max isn't really shocking.

New colors are also considered a noteworthy feature for the upcoming high-end iPhone models. Two new colors rumored to appear in the iPhone 16 Pro collection are desert yellow and cement gray, which may replace the Blue Titanium and Natural Titanium of the previous version.

Interestingly, the gold color might be closer to bronze or even pink than actual gold. This color, along with Black Titanium, White Titanium, and Gray Titanium, could be the four main color options for the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro (and perhaps the iPhone 16 Pro Max).

The iPhone 16 series is expected to launch in September. Notably, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models will feature significant camera upgrades, support for Wi-Fi 7 and 5G Advance, the A18 Pro chip, and a graphene-based cooling system. The iPhone 16 series may also support AI-powered generative applications, allowing users to interact with chatbots or create images using text directly on their phones.
