Kinhtedothi - The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are expected to launch in September with a host of highly anticipated features.

- Aluminum frame

The Information reveals that Apple may surprise everyone with the iPhone 17 models launching next September by abandoning the titanium frame after only two generations and replacing it with an aluminum frame. Aluminum is known to make the device lighter while still ensuring durability.

At the same time, the back panel, instead of being entirely glass, is a combination of aluminum and glass; the rear camera module is rectangular and larger than the current model. The raised part is made of aluminum while the bottom part is glass to support wireless charging.

- Rectangular camera cluster

Accordingly, the square camera module on the iPhone 17 Pro has been expanded into a rectangular shape similar to Google's Pixel 9 Pro. The three lenses retain their triangular arrangement and are located on the left. The LED flash, microphone, and Lidar sensor are arranged vertically on the right.

- Steam chamber cooling system

According to some sources, Apple will add vapor chamber cooling technology, similar to that used in many current Android phones, to improve performance for the iPhone 17 Pro series.

- 12GB RAM

The iPhone 17 Pro has increased RAM to 12GB (the previous model had 8GB) to improve Apple Intelligence performance and enhance multitasking capabilities. It also uses the higher-performance A19 Pro chip, manufactured using TSMC's third-generation 3nm process.

- Larger battery

The thickness of the iPhone 17 Pro Max is said to be 8.72 mm (up from 8.25 mm of the 16 Pro Max). According to some sources, this adjustment adds 400 mAh to the product's battery capacity.

- Camera with increased resolution

Both the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max models will feature a 48MP telephoto lens. The zoom capability will be 3.5x (85mm focal length), instead of the current 5x, allowing for better portrait and everyday photography. The higher resolution will support digital cropping without significant loss of quality.

The front camera of both models has been upgraded to 24MP—double that of its predecessor. With a 6-element lens, an upgrade from the 12MP camera with 5 elements in previous generations, the iPhone 17's front camera promises to deliver sharper and more detailed photos, even when cropping or zooming.

A19 Pro chip:

This is Apple's latest generation of processors, based on TSMC's third-generation 3nm process.

With the A19 Pro chip, performance is expected to increase slightly and power efficiency will be improved compared to current models. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 models will use the A19 chip, which may be manufactured on TSMC's N3P (upgraded 3nm) process.

The Wifi-7 chip was designed by Apple itself.

All four iPhone models will be equipped with this chip instead of the Broadcom chip used previously, resulting in faster, more stable connectivity and lower power consumption.

Dual video recording

According to Jon Prosser (YouTube channel Front Page Tech), the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max will allow users to record video simultaneously using both the front and rear cameras within the default Camera app.

Shoot 8K video

With the entire rear camera system boasting 48MP, it's highly likely that 8K video recording will officially appear on the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max. This is a major step forward for the iPhone, competing with models like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and Pixel 9 Pro.

Sky Blue color option

Similar to the color options on the latest MacBook Air, the iPhone 17 Pro will also come in a luxurious and striking Sky Blue version.

Sources close to the supply chain confirm that several prototypes of the iPhone 17 Pro have been produced in various color versions, including Sky Blue. This color is considered more attractive than the Sierra Blue that was popular on the iPhone 13 Pro.
