Leaked iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models reveal a completely new camera design philosophy from Apple, making the iFan community eagerly await the next generation of iPhone.

According to many leaked sources in recent times about the design for the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max lines, Apple seems to be planning a "makeover" for this product. These changes are not just small tweaks but promise to bring a breakthrough in the way Apple approaches the design of its high-end phone line.

Recently, technology leak expert Majin Bu shared on the social networking platform X (formerly Twitter) two model photos that are said to represent the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. These images quickly attracted attention in the technology community when they first revealed more clearly about the design details, especially in the camera cluster - the element that is said to have the biggest change in the new generation of iPhone.

Unique camera cluster design, completely different

The iPhone 17 Pro model appears in a deep black color, even darker than the Black Titanium of the iPhone 16 Pro series. The highlight lies in the camera cluster placed in a horizontal bar above the back, in which the lenses are arranged separately. The LED flash and LiDAR sensor are also moved to the right edge, creating a completely new look for the back of the device.

The layout is reminiscent of the design language on Google's Pixel line - an unusual move for Apple and, if accurate, would be the first time the iPhone Pro line has had a significant change to the camera cluster after years of maintaining a familiar style.

There have been some rumors surrounding this horizontal bar design before, but these leaked images provide a more detailed and intuitive look. In one photo taken at an angle, the camera module is seen to protrude significantly from the body, and each lens also protrudes further. While this may reflect an upgrade in camera hardware, it also raises the issue of whether the experience is handheld or pocketable – something Apple has always placed a lot of importance on.

Majin Bu also revealed additional images of the model believed to be the iPhone 17 Air. Similar to the Pro version, the Air model appears in a predominantly black color, but the difference lies in the camera cluster, which is designed to be slimmer and simpler.

This arrangement is quite similar to previous leaks related to the design of the Pixel 9. The iPhone 17 Air seems to be equipped with only a single rear camera, suggesting that this could be a model aimed at the popular segment with a streamlined configuration, focusing on aesthetics and reasonable price.

In addition, the source also shared another rare image of the entire iPhone 17 line in white or light gray tones - completely different from the previous series of black photos, providing a fresher look at Apple's color choices this year.

It is currently unclear whether the leaked iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max models accurately reflect the final design that Apple will bring to the commercial version. Although leaker Majin Bu has provided accurate information in the past, his reliability is still questionable because previous information does not always match reality. However, this series of leaked photos is quite consistent with many recent rumors, making technology users even more curious and attentive.

If Apple does indeed choose to go in this new design direction, it would be a radical change – bold and a marked departure from the iPhone design philosophy of years past. The horizontal camera array, arranged discretely instead of the familiar square cluster, could create two opposing opinions: some users who love the breakthrough and modernity will welcome the new design, while those loyal to the traditional iPhone Pro design may feel strange or not ready to change.

Still, it’s clear that Apple is seriously experimenting with a new, distinct, and distinctive design language for the iPhone 17 generation – something the company typically does every few product cycles to maintain its appeal in the market. Is this Apple’s next big push into the premium smartphone race? We’ll have to wait until the fall to find out.

iPhone 17 Pro may launch in a completely new color

According to recent leaks from MacRumors, Apple is preparing a significant change in color for the iPhone 17 series, especially the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max versions. These changes are said to be related to Apple possibly using a new material for the frame - which will directly affect the final color of the product.

For the standard iPhone 17 series, only a few initial details have been revealed. Specifically, the iPhone 16/16 Plus currently comes in colors such as ultramarine, teal, pink, white, and black. However, this year, Apple is said to be testing two new colors, purple and green - two colors that are expected to create a new breeze for the popular product line.

However, the source also said that only one of the two new colors will be retained in the official commercial version, after internal testing. This is something Apple has done before: testing many colors but only choosing the versions that are most suitable for the market.

Interestingly, with the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, it’s not just the colors that will change, but the entire build material could be revamped. If this becomes a reality, this year’s Pro models could feature a completely different color scheme than what users have seen before – giving Apple’s most expensive iPhone a more premium and unique look.

According to MacRumors, this year's iPhone 17 Pro may mark a major change in design materials. Instead of continuing to use the titanium frame as on the iPhone 15 Pro and 16 Pro lines, Apple is said to be testing a completely new aluminum frame for the iPhone 17 Pro line. Not only is it lighter, the aluminum material also provides a more comfortable grip, contributing to improving the user experience. In addition, the back of the device will also be finished in a new style, with a sophisticated combination of aluminum and frosted glass - creating a modern look, more different from previous generations.

Another highlight worth noting is the appearance of a new color. According to sources, Apple is considering bringing sky blue to the iPhone 17 Pro line - a youthful and outstanding choice that could become a new "hot trend" color when launched.

The iPhone 17 series is expected to be officially introduced by Apple this fall, as usual in September events. The four versions include: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max and a completely new model - the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air. Each model will come with its own upgrades in design, performance and camera features, promising to bring a different experience to each user segment. With a series of potential improvements, the iPhone 17 series is expected to create a new turning point in Apple's design strategy.
