The ultra-thin iPhone might be disappointing.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - It is highly likely that the thickness of the iPhone 17 Air will not be significantly different compared to the previous iPhone model.


The slimness of a phone largely depends on the size of the battery integrated inside the device. Apple is reportedly facing technical challenges in manufacturing batteries for the ultra-thin iPhone.

According to MacRumors , the iPhone 17 Air's battery won't be as thin as Apple initially planned. Currently, the iPhone 17 Air's battery is estimated to be around 6mm thick. Therefore, the device's overall thickness will be greater than this figure.

To date, the iPhone 6 is the thinnest iPhone Apple has ever produced, measuring 6.9mm thick. It's likely that the iPhone 17 Air's thickness won't be significantly different from the model released in 2014.

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will focus on design changes for the iPhone 17 Air rather than adding new features. The company may even need to make some necessary cost-cutting measures to achieve the "ultra-thin" design.

The iPhone 17 Air is rumored to feature only a single 48MP main camera. Meanwhile, the standard iPhone 17 will have two cameras. The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will have three cameras.

Additionally, the device will feature a 6.6-inch Dynamic Island display with a resolution of 2740 x 1260 pixels. It will integrate an A19 processor along with Apple's own 5G chip.
