Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani asserted that there have been no talks with the United States, rejecting reports by Western media about Iran seeking to resume dialogue with the US.
The statement came after several Western news outlets cited sources claiming Iran had offered to restart negotiations. Larijani stressed that Iran would not engage in talks with the US under the current circumstances.

On the morning of March 2nd, the Wall Street Journal reported that Larijani had sent a plan to resume negotiations with the US through Oman. However, Iran denied this information.
Prior to this, indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the US, mediated by Oman, were still underway when the US and Israel launched attacks against Iran on the morning of February 28.
The most recent round of negotiations, held on February 26 in Geneva, concluded with both sides acknowledging "significant progress." However, this diplomatic process was overshadowed by subsequent escalating military developments.
Iran launched "Operation True Promise 4" in response to attacks carried out by the US and Israel, which killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, along with dozens of senior military commanders and hundreds of civilians.
The campaign included large-scale missile and drone launches targeting Israeli objectives and U.S. bases throughout the region.
