Diverse activities
To encourage businesses to proactively carry out diverse and attractive promotional activities that help consumers purchase quality goods and services at reasonable prices, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has launched the National Concentrated Promotion Program 2025 (Vietnam Grand Sale 2025, taking place from December 1, 2025 to January 18, 2026) with nationwide implementation.
The most notable feature of the program is that merchants and businesses can apply discounts of up to 100% of the value of goods and services, instead of the usual 50% limit. Vietnam Grand Sale 2025 contributes to spreading the spirit of "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" in the new era; as well as forming a new, smart, economical consumer culture that supports high-quality Vietnamese products. At the same time, this program aims to create a healthy competitive environment, encouraging businesses to constantly innovate and create in production and business.
In Dong Nai province, provincial departments, agencies, and localities have strengthened support for local businesses and OCOP (One Commune One Product) entities in promoting products, developing brands, and integrating products into distribution and retail chains both within and outside the province.
According to the Dong Nai Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, in 2025, the center coordinated with relevant departments and agencies to implement many activities to support local businesses in participating in trade promotion activities and events inside and outside the province; organized connections between 120 cooperatives and cooperative groups in localities within the province and the Dau Giay wholesale market for agricultural products and food (Dau Giay commune); supported businesses participating in the OCOP Specialty Week in Ho Chi Minh City and the Trade Union Tet Market. At the same time, it continued to support the management costs and effective operation of OCOP product introduction and sales points; coordinated the organization of propaganda and digital transformation to promote the application of information technology in multi-channel trade promotion…
During the recent Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, in addition to price stabilization programs, ensuring the supply of essential goods, and activities to stimulate consumer demand for Vietnamese products, many businesses in the province also promoted activities connecting Vietnamese goods and local products.
According to Nguyen Quoc Minh, Director of Co.opmart Dong Xoai Supermarket (in Binh Phuoc Ward): In January 2026, the supermarket will organize two mobile sales events, bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas to serve people in remote regions during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026. The shipments will supply essential goods from five categories: processed foods, fresh foods, chemicals, household goods, and clothing, with a total value of approximately 200 million VND.
"These activities are aimed at responding to the 'Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods' campaign; and at the same time, providing Vietnamese products to consumers in rural and remote areas," Mr. Nguyen Quoc Minh emphasized.
Expand channels for promoting and distributing local products.
The People's Committee of Dong Nai province has issued Plan No. 67/KH-UBND, dated February 4, 2026, on investment promotion, trade, tourism, business support, and event organization activities for 2026.
Specifically, regarding trade promotion, the province will actively participate in linkage programs organized by the central government, especially connecting businesses with distributors and importers both domestically and internationally; enhancing its role as a focal point and organizing key trade promotion programs in domestic and international markets. Simultaneously, it will promote the development of key industries and products of the province such as cashew nuts, pepper, coffee, rubber, fruits, bird's nests, handicrafts, and other distinctive and typical products of the province; directly support organizations, individuals, businesses, cooperatives, and production and business establishments in the province to maintain traditional markets, develop new markets, and expand product distribution channels through supermarkets and retail systems.
According to Le Trung Hieu, Deputy Director of Nga Bien Import-Export Co., Ltd. (in Xuan Hoa commune): The company hopes that in the future, relevant departments, agencies, and local authorities will continue to have more activities and programs to support businesses in trade promotion and advertising of OCOP products for local businesses; as well as improve the effectiveness of trade connections within and outside the province, and promote the development of e-commerce…
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, in the past period, trade promotion and consumer stimulus activities have been implemented through the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" and trade fairs, connecting supply and demand within and outside the province. In 2026, the department will continue to strengthen trade promotion activities, support businesses and production facilities in promoting their products, expanding export markets and domestic consumption.
At the conference on the implementation of tasks for the industry and trade sector in Dong Nai province in 2026, held in January 2026, Mr. Nguyen Kim Long, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, shared: In 2026, the industry and trade sector needs to closely coordinate with departments, agencies, and localities to develop wholesale markets and modern commercial centers, forming an efficient distribution network connecting production - circulation - consumption. At the same time, it will continue to promote e-commerce and the digital economy, support businesses in expanding markets, diversifying distribution channels, and enhancing competitiveness in the context of deep integration.
