At just after 9:45 a.m. on June 8 (local time), Israel and Iranian state television IRIB reported a new Iranian missile launch targeting Israel. Simultaneously, air raid sirens sounded throughout Israel.
Iran launched its first missile attack on Israel at around 10 PM last night, June 7th (which is just over 2 AM this morning, Vietnam time). The attack lasted a few minutes, with about a dozen ballistic missiles launched from Iran, heading towards northern Israel.

In response to a series of early morning attacks by Iran, Israel launched an airstrike on an Iranian petrochemical plant, partially damaging the facility. According to the Fars news agency, the Karun petrochemical company in the southwestern city of Bandar-e Mahshar was hit by Israeli artillery fire.
The Israel Defense Forces reported in an X-rated post that their air force "attacked several targets" at the complex.
Israel and Iran are exchanging a new series of attacks, marking the worst escalation of tensions since the ceasefire agreement was signed. According to Iran's semi-official Mehr news agency, all flights at Mehrabad Airport in Tehran and Kermanshah Airport have been canceled.
Many experts believe that the most intense gunfight between Iran and Israel in weeks highlights the diplomatic challenge President Donald Trump faces in his efforts to end the conflict.
Former Israeli consul in New York, Alon Pinkas, said Tehran is seeking to create tension between Israel and the United States. “They think that as soon as they pick a fight with Israel, whether it’s with gunfire or verbal provocation, it will create a rift between Israel and the United States,” Pinkas said.
According to Professor Benjamin Radd, a lecturer at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law, Iran's attack on Israel pushes Israel's "red line" into confrontation with Trump's de-escalation stance, an area that Iran "is seeking to exploit."
