This event will take place at 7 PM on May 17th at GMA Arena (Phuoc Kien, Nha Be), marking the beginning of a series of 8 exciting events in 2025.
This year, GMA brings several notable innovations. According to martial arts master Johnny Tri Nguyen, General Director of Than Vo Vietnam, the tournament will introduce the Praying Mantis weight class (53 kg), providing opportunities for fighters in this weight class to compete. In addition, GMA 2025 welcomes the participation of international fighters from Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Malaysia, raising the level of competition and promising fierce matches.
The first event will feature nine thrilling matches. The highlight of the evening will undoubtedly be the clash between two veteran fighters with flamboyant fighting styles: Tran Minh Nhut of Lien Phong Martial Arts School and Tran Trong Kim of PFC Phu Quoc.
In the Praying Mantis weight class, eight fighters will compete to assert their dominance, including the showdowns between Truong Quang Kiet and Huynh Quang Thien, Nguyen Huu Nghia and Bui Xuan Nguyen, and Dang Quoc Quang and Phan Ngoc Hieu. Notably, fans will witness a clash between Le Hoang Duc, the world and Asian Muay Thai champion, and Luong Trong Nghia.
Other exciting matchups include: Pham Thanh Phong vs. Pham Van Hao (Cobra category - 55 kg), and a notable rematch in the Tiger category (68 kg) between Vu Hai and Pham Anh Duc.
The entire GMA 2025 event will be streamed live on the official Gods of Martial Arts Fanpage and YouTube channel, starting at 7 PM on May 17th. The day before, the organizers will hold the weigh-in, face-off, and Media Day for media representatives.
