Johnny Tri Nguyen 'opens' GMA 2025

The professional MMA event series Gods of Martial Arts (GMA) | Than Vo officially returns, promising to bring top-notch competitions to martial arts fans nationwide.

Johnny Tri Nguyen is the General Director of Than Vo Vietnam.

This event will take place at 7:00 p.m. on May 17, at GMA Arena (Phuoc Kien, Nha Be), marking the beginning of a series of 8 exciting events in 2025.

This year, GMA brings many notable innovations. According to martial artist Johnny Tri Nguyen, General Director of Than Vo Vietnam, the tournament will introduce the Duong Lang weight class (53 kg), creating opportunities for martial artists in this weight class to compete. In addition, GMA 2025 also welcomes the participation of international martial artists from Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Malaysia, raising the level of competition and promising fierce matches.

The first event will witness 9 dramatic matches. The highlight of the night will certainly be the competition between two veteran martial artists with flashy fighting styles: Tran Minh Nhut of Lien Phong Martial Arts School and Tran Trong Kim of PFC Phu Quoc.

In the Duong Lang weight class, 8 boxers will compete to assert their position, including the confrontation between Truong Quang Kiet and Huynh Quang Thien, Nguyen Huu Nghia and Bui Xuan Nguyen, Dang Quoc Quang and Phan Ngoc Hieu. In particular, fans will witness the match between Le Hoang Duc, the world and Asian Muay champion, against Luong Trong Nghia.

Other exciting matches include: Pham Thanh Phong - Pham Van Hao (Cobra - 55 kg), a notable rematch in the Tiger (68 kg) class between Vu Hai and Pham Anh Duc.

The entire GMA 2025 event will be broadcast live on the official Fanpage and YouTube of Gods of Martial Arts, starting at 7pm on May 17. The day before, the organizers will conduct a weigh-in, face-off and Media Day for media units.
