To meet the public's demand to continue visiting the Vietnam International Defence Exhibition 2024, on December 22nd, the Ministry of Defence issued an official document stating that the exhibition will extend the opening hours of some booths until December 23rd (the exhibition was originally scheduled to end on December 22nd).

According to a document from the Ministry of National Defense, Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense, and Head of the Exhibition Steering Committee, has given his opinion on extending the opening hours of some exhibition booths. Accordingly, the Exhibition will extend the opening hours of some booths of the Military Industry and Telecommunications Group ( Viettel ) such as shooting, artificial intelligence technology, etc.; the exhibition area showcasing achievements in building the people's armed forces and the national defense system of the Economic Department; and the Vietnamese cultural space of the Propaganda Department. Food and beverage service areas and other units that need to remain open will be open until December 23rd.
On the first day of opening to the public, Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien visited and inspected the reception of visitors; directed relevant departments to create the best possible conditions and ensure absolute safety for visitors; and requested that security and safety be maintained during the period of public access, especially in organizing traffic and paying attention to food safety and hygiene.

On December 21st, the Exhibition Organizing Committee recorded approximately 100,000 people registering to visit the Exhibition.
The organizers of the Exhibition anticipated that the 2024 Exhibition would attract a much larger number of visitors from across the country compared to 2022, and therefore prepared various scenarios and plans to ensure the most convenient experience for people attending the Exhibition.
Proud of the strength of our Army

That was the sentiment of many people, from veterans and the elderly to young people and students, when visiting the Vietnam International Defence Exhibition 2024. People also expressed their joy that the Ministry of Defence continued to open the exhibition to the public for another day, until December 23rd.
During the days the exhibition was open to the public, tens of thousands of people, not only from Hanoi but also from many other localities, of all ages and backgrounds, came to visit.
From the Central Highlands, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tam, a veteran of the Central Highlands Army Corps, said that his group of veterans traveled to Hanoi on the opening day to wait for the exhibition to open to the public. The group consists of veterans who fought for many years on the Central Highlands Front; the oldest is over 80, some are wounded, some are exposed to chemical toxins, and despite their poor health, they still made the effort to travel to the capital to attend the exhibition.
Having personally witnessed the modern equipment and weapons manufactured and produced by Vietnamese companies, such as UAVs, robots, ships, and missiles, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tam is very confident that the Vietnamese Fatherland will be firmly protected by our Army.

Meanwhile, Mr. Vu Ngoc Lam, 75 years old, a veteran from Hai Phong city, was very excited about the remarkable growth and maturity of our Army.
Mr. Lam said that visiting the exhibition made him feel confident in Vietnam's military strength and defense potential. He believes that organizing exhibitions like this creates a very good environment for educating about patriotism, instilling love for the country and national pride in the younger generation.
Mr. Lam also expressed his delight that the exhibition attracted a large number of young people, showing that young people are increasingly interested in the fields of national defense, security, and protecting the Fatherland. The exhibition's display areas showcasing the 80-year tradition of the Vietnam People's Army provide an excellent opportunity for young people to learn more about the nation's history in a vivid and easily understandable way.
