Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ding Tiet Thuong stated that significant progress has been made in building an Asian community with a shared future over the past decade, in which China and ASEAN have established a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) has come into effect.

He added that regional economic integration has been strengthened and Asia's share of the global economy is steadily increasing.

The Chinese Vice Premier also noted the increasing instability and uncertainty in the world , calling for joint efforts to address global challenges, build an Asian community, and create a better future for Asia and beyond.

This year's conference, held from March 25-28, is themed "Asia in a Changing World: Towards a Shared Future," focusing on four main themes: rebuilding trust to foster cooperation, rebalancing globalization and inclusive development, sustainable development, and the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and innovation.

Established in 2001, the BFA is a non-governmental, non-profit international forum committed to promoting regional economic integration and supporting Asian countries in achieving their development goals.
