On the evening of February 15th (28th day of the 12th lunar month), the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held the opening ceremony of the 2026 Year of the Horse Tet Flower Street (Nguyen Hue Flower Street) with the theme "Spring Gathering - Steadfastly Moving Forward".
With the theme "Spring Gathering - Steadfastly Moving Forward," the 2026 Lunar New Year Flower Street takes on a new look in both scale and organization. For the first time, the program is being implemented simultaneously at three locations: Nguyen Hue pedestrian street (Saigon ward), Thu Dau Mot ward (formerly Binh Duong province ), and Vung Tau ward (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau province). Each space has its own unique character but all share a common spirit: gathering, unity, and sustainable development.

In the city center, the 2026 Lunar New Year Flower Street on Nguyen Hue pedestrian street continues to be a highlight with elaborate large-scale displays, vibrant small-scale scenes, and impressively sculpted horse mascots. Fresh flowers are harmoniously arranged with environmentally friendly materials, combined with modern sculptural art, creating an overall effect that is both traditional and contemporary.
Notably, for the first time in its 23-year history, the organizers have implemented two versions of the experience – daytime and nighttime – in the same space. Besides the dazzling beauty under the spring sunshine, the nighttime version offers a fresh experience with mapping technology, augmented reality (AR), interactive lighting, and more, creating a vivid visual effect. According to city leaders, this is an innovative step, demonstrating the daring, proactive, and pioneering spirit characteristic of Ho Chi Minh City.

The space for the 2026 Lunar New Year Flower Street is also imbued with a spirit of integration, featuring exhibitions and artistic flower arrangements from the Consulates General of the United Kingdom, India, Laos, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Malaysia, China, and Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City. Each country brings its own unique culture, blending with the artistic flower arrangements representing Vietnam, created by units of the Saigontourist Group, contributing to a colorful Lunar New Year celebration.

The Tet Flower Street for the Year of the Horse 2026 will be open to the public and tourists until 9 PM on February 22nd.
