Opening of the 16th session (special topic)

This morning (August 17), the 16th session (special session) of the 11th Provincial People's Council opened at the Provincial Convention Center. Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Hoai Anh and Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council chaired the session. Attending the session were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Doan Anh Dung; representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches, localities and delegates of the Provincial People's Council.

Speaking at the opening of the session, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Hoai Anh emphasized that at the 16th session, the Provincial People's Committee submitted to the Provincial People's Council the contents of approving investment policies, adjusting the approval of investment policies for socio -economic development projects and works, allocating public investment capital sources, and capital to implement national target programs to meet the requirements of socio-economic development management of the province. At the same time, the Provincial People's Council will carry out personnel work under its authority.

According to the assessment of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, continuing to implement the spirit of innovation in the activities of the Provincial People's Council, the contents submitted to this session were prepared by the Provincial People's Committee to ensure the process and procedures according to regulations, with the participation of the Provincial People's Council Committees from the beginning and strict examination.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the delegates to promote their responsibility, focus on discussing each content, especially the proposed opinions of the Provincial People's Council Committees stated in the verification report to contribute many enthusiastic, frank, and quality opinions, and resolve the contents presented at the meeting.

According to the plan, the 16th session of the 11th Provincial People's Council will take place on August 17. The main contents include: Reviewing the submissions attached to the draft resolution submitted to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and issuance of resolutions on detailed allocation of the medium-term public investment capital plan for the period 2021 - 2025 from lottery reserve sources. Detailed allocation of the 2023 public investment capital plan from the provincial budget (retained source for later allocation).

Approving the adjustment of the investment policy for the project to repair and upgrade Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street and Huynh Thuc Khang Street (from Hoang Ngoc Tourist Area to Lang Chai Intersection), Phan Thiet City. At the same time, approving the investment policy for the road project to Phan Thiet Airport (phase 2); Approving the investment policy for the project to upgrade Thu Khoa Huan Street (from Ton Duc Thang Street to Ke Bridge), Phan Thiet City; Allocating the provincial budget to match the 2022 capital plan to implement the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction in the province; Approving the investment policy for the project to build new, repair and renovate Phan Chu Trinh High School, Phan Thiet City and approving the investment policy for the road project from the center of Ham Thuan Bac district to National Highway 1A, Ham Thuan Bac district.
