The opening ceremony of the 2025 International Tea Festival took place last night at Lam Vien Square (Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat), with the participation of 40 ambassadors from various countries, representatives of UNESCO and other international organizations.

This year marks the first time the International Tea Festival is being held in Vietnam. The festival takes place from December 5th to 7th in Da Lat, Bao Loc, and some typical tea-growing regions of Lam Dong province .

Vietnam's tea industry holds a strong position globally , ranking 5th in terms of planted area and 7th in terms of production worldwide, with products exported to 70 countries. The International Tea Festival comprises a series of rich activities: an International Tea Exhibition, a High-Level Conference on Sustainable Tea Industry Development, a Tea Music Festival, a Tea Diplomatic Program, a Street Festival, and a Tea Culture Space. In particular, locals and tourists will witness: a mass tea-making demonstration by 1,111 tea masters, a display of 1,000 ancient tea trees over 100 years old from many countries, and the participation of 80 beauty queens from countries renowned for their tea.
