In his opening remarks, Comrade Bui Van Manh, Provincial Party Committee member and Director of the Department of Tourism, emphasized: Ninh Binh – a land in the southern part of the Red River Delta, where three cultural spaces – mountains, plains, and sea – intersect, a place that was once a bustling capital city, has developed a diverse culinary tradition that is both rustic and sophisticated, simple yet profound, vividly reflecting the life, character, and cultural identity of the people of Ninh Binh. This is an important advantage for developing sustainable tourism, making cuisine a bridge to promote the image, cultural identity, and people of Ninh Binh to friends and tourists both domestically and internationally.

Comrade Bui Van Manh, Provincial Party Committee member and Director of the Department of Tourism, delivered the opening speech.
The Ninh Binh Food and Tourism Festival 2025 is the first large-scale cultural tourism event after the province's merger, bringing together the distinctive culinary cultural values of the newly merged Ninh Binh province and other regions across the country. The festival showcases unique dishes, specialties of the province and other regions, traditional craft products; along with engaging experiences, exchanges, and performances, while also telling vivid stories that reflect the cultural values of Vietnamese cuisine .
Prominent among them is the story of Pho - a national intangible cultural heritage, a typical symbol of the national culinary identity and essence; along with other distinctive traditional culinary values of the Northern Delta region such as: rice rolls, vermicelli, rice noodles, and various folk cakes made from rice, associated with the daily life, beliefs, and festivals of the community.
The Director of the Department of Tourism affirmed that the Ninh Binh Food and Tourism Festival 2025 is a bridge connecting businesses, associations, craft villages, artisans, chefs, and the community; unleashing creative potential, enhancing the value of traditional crafts, expanding opportunities for cooperation and investment, and contributing to affirming the brand of Ninh Binh as a tourist destination.

Provincial leaders presented commemorative flags to the units participating in the Festival.
Accordingly, the event was held in three wards across the province with a diverse range of activities rich in cultural identity, attracting the attention and participation of a large number of people and tourists. In particular, the "Northern Traditional Cake Festival" in Tam Chuc ward and the "Rice Noodle and Pho Festival honoring products made from rice grains" in Nam Dinh ward took place enthusiastically in recent days.
Continuing the series of events, the festival took place in Hoa Lu ward with the participation of 87 craft villages and cooperatives from 13 provinces and cities nationwide, offering a space to enjoy the unique culinary essence of the North, Central, and South regions.

Provincial leaders presented flowers to congratulate the culinary artisans participating in the festival.
The event is themed around "Traditional Northern Vietnamese Tet," featuring approximately 180 booths, including: 120 booths showcasing and introducing unique dishes from Ninh Binh and other provinces and cities nationwide; 40 booths featuring OCOP products, regional specialties, and traditional crafts; and 20 booths promoting tourism, travel, and culinary experiences, including tours, destinations, and tourism services.
