In his opening remarks, Tran Anh Tho, Director of the Dong Nai Library, stated that the Book and Reading Culture Day not only affirms the position, role, and importance of books, honoring the value of books and readers, but also serves as a reminder of the shared mission to build a learning society where everyone has equal, free, and creative access to knowledge.
In the context of rapid digital transformation, reading retains its core value but requires a new approach. Books are not only sources of knowledge, but also companions, sources of inspiration, and open up new horizons for each individual.
With the theme: Reading books - enriching knowledge, nurturing aspirations, promoting innovation, this year's Book Day features the participation of libraries in districts and cities, the Lac Hong University Library, Dong Nai Publishing House, and the Dong Nai Association of Literature and Arts.
During the opening ceremony, delegates and students from Bien Hoa city visited the book exhibition and art book arrangement exhibition; they also experienced a virtual reality technology exhibition with the theme "50 Years of Memories - The Journey to National Unification".
