At the event, Ms. Nguyen Thao Hien, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Market Development ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ), emphasized: “The ‘Vietnam Day in France’ event is of special significance because Monoprix is not only a famous supermarket chain in France, but also a brand associated with quality, a modern urban lifestyle, and the mid-to-high-end consumer segment.”

According to Ms. Hien, this is both a challenge and an opportunity for Vietnamese goods. It's a challenge because businesses must meet the highest standards. But the opportunity is immense, because once Vietnamese goods are on Monoprix shelves, they will be positioned in a distinct way – as high-quality goods capable of competing in the premium market.

The Vietnamese business delegation attending the event was large, comprising nearly 40 units, representing many key and potential export sectors such as agricultural products and processed foods.

All products are manufactured and processed according to international standards such as GlobalGAP, HACCP, and ISO, with clear traceability.

Handicrafts combine the finest traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, creating products that are both aesthetically pleasing and meet sustainability standards, catering to the sophisticated tastes of French and European consumers.

At the same time, textiles and consumer goods, which are key export sectors of Vietnam, are increasingly focusing on green and circular elements, meeting the trend of environmentally friendly consumption.

Olivier Langlet, General Director of Central Retail Vietnam, shared: “The Vietnam Day event in France marks another important milestone in Central Retail’s long-term commitment to ‘A more prosperous Vietnam’.”

Over the years, the corporation has successfully collaborated with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to organize seven editions of the "Vietnam Goods Week in Thailand".

Central Retail collaborates closely with the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade on various trade promotion activities. These joint efforts not only help Vietnamese businesses access new, high-value markets but also contribute to strengthening bilateral relations between Vietnam and France.
