To celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd, on the evening of August 31st, Thanh Thuy district held a meeting to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the district's re-establishment (September 1st, 1999 - September 1st, 2024) and to inaugurate the Thanh Thuy Tourism Week - Autumn 2024 with the theme "Returning to the Land of Green Water".
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Van Quang presented the banner from the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to the Party Committee, government, and people of Thanh Thuy district.
Attending the ceremony were: Mr. Bui Van Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department; Mr. Vi Manh Hung - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; former provincial leaders; leaders of several departments, agencies, and organizations; districts, cities, and towns of the province, along with thousands of local people and tourists.

In his welcoming speech, the leader of Thanh Thuy district affirmed: After 25 years of re-establishment, under the leadership and guidance of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee, and with the coordination of provincial departments and agencies, Thanh Thuy district has always worked together to achieve proud accomplishments. From a poor locality with a low starting point, the average per capita income of the entire district has now reached 56.8 million VND/person/year, an 18-fold increase. Total budget revenue reached 490 billion VND, a 15.7-fold increase compared to the Resolution of the 2000-2005 term.
Infrastructure has seen many breakthrough developments with the investment and construction of numerous key roads, creating connections between regions and localities within and outside the province. In implementing the breakthrough in tourism development, Thanh Thuy district has focused on investing in infrastructure, creating clean land to attract potential investors to invest in eco-tourism resorts, spiritual tourism, and the development of high-quality tourism products...

In 2023, the district welcomed 680,000 visitors, generating revenue of 520 billion VND. In the first eight months of this year alone, nearly 800,000 visitors have come to explore and experience the services in the area, achieving revenue of 560 billion VND.

The Thanh Thuy Tourism Week - Autumn 2024 is a highly meaningful event, creating an important highlight that demonstrates the efforts of the Party Committee, the government, and all sectors of the people in building Thanh Thuy into a key tourism district of the province. Through this, it will gradually form an ideal, friendly, and attractive resort destination for domestic and international tourists, contributing to the strong promotion of the local socio -economic development.
On this occasion, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Bui Van Quang, presented the Party Committee, government, and people of all ethnic groups in Thanh Thuy district with a banner bearing the inscription "Party Committee, government, and people of Thanh Thuy district: 25 years of Unity - Innovation - Development" (September 1, 1999 - September 1, 2024).

The Thanh Thuy Tourism Week - Autumn 2024 event took place from August 31st to September 4th with many cultural and tourism activities aimed at promoting and showcasing the land, people, and tourism potential and advantages of the locality. During this time, in addition to evening folk art performances at the "Street Music" stage, tourists and locals could also visit the pedestrian street along both sides of the double road opposite the entrance to the Ngoc Xanh Island Tourist Area, featuring 40 stalls displaying, introducing, and selling OCOP products and regional specialties.
The ceremony featured an art program titled "Returning to the Green Water Region," with the participation of famous artists and singers, praising the Party and the State and showcasing the potential and advantages of Thanh Thuy district's tourism development. The highlight of this year's program was a fireworks display combined with a drone light show – the first of its kind in the province – which left a deep impression on both locals and tourists.
