Located in the western part of Thua Thien Hue province, bordering Laos, A Luoi district has long been known as the "green roof" of the ancient capital region. It boasts a vast natural forest ecosystem, part of the majestic Truong Son mountain range – with over 70% forest cover, and many rare and precious plant and animal species such as the brown-footed langur, saola, and valuable medicinal plants.

As the lens of "Green Connection Journey" quietly delves deep into the primeval forests, streaks of sunlight piercing through the leaves seem to illuminate the heart of the living mountains and forests. Without noise or artificiality, A Lưới appears rustic yet captivating – a place where you can hear the forest breathe, feel the dew settle on every blade of grass, and even hear the footsteps of the forest guardians.

For the people here, the forest is not only a source of food or medicinal herbs, but also an inseparable part of their cultural identity. They live off the forest, live in harmony with it, but do not encroach upon it or exploit it to the point of depletion. The customs and traditional rituals of the Pa Co and Ta Oi people revolve around protecting the mountains and forests, preserving water sources, and conserving rare medicinal plants and animals – these are the "green laws" that have existed for generations.

Beyond its breathtaking natural beauty, A Lưới offers a rare sense of peace and tranquility – a healing haven for body, mind, and spirit. Here, you can wake up amidst the ancient forest to the sounds of birds, immerse yourself in the cool waters of the A Nôr stream, and listen to locals recount stories of precious medicinal herbs that can cure illnesses without leaving the forest.

This program documented the emotional journey of local sustainable ecotourism practitioners: from guiding tourists to learn about local culture, participating in weaving traditional fabrics, and preparing traditional dishes… to organizing trekking tours, camping, and meditation in the deep forest. Each activity was carried out responsibly and with restraint – leaving no litter, not harming nature, and not disrupting the peaceful way of life.
