Medical examinations are conducted rigorously and scientifically to ensure children receive comprehensive check-ups, including eye, ear, nose and throat, dental, musculoskeletal, and psychological health assessments. The City Children's Hospital assists in creating medical data for the children, providing long-term monitoring to ensure timely physical and mental support. In case of illness, the "Loving Steps" program supports the costs of treatment at the City Children's Hospital. This method has been successfully implemented and highly appreciated by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union through free medical examinations and treatments for over 4,000 children affected by the pandemic in Ho Chi Minh City in 2022 and 2023, including orphans due to Covid-19 and children from disadvantaged families.

District 8 has many children from working-class families who have suffered losses due to the pandemic and have urgent needs for physical and psychological health care and educational support. We are pleased to have the support of departments and agencies at all levels, the District 8 Youth Union, and the Children's Hospital of Ho Chi Minh City to organize health check-ups and many other activities to support and assist children in District 8 in particular and Ho Chi Minh City in general.”
The program provided free health checkups for over 1,000 underprivileged children from District 8.
Mr. Rad Kivette – CEO of VinaCapital Foundation emphasized: “Ensuring the rights and development of children, especially those in difficult circumstances, is always a top priority for VCF. We would like to thank the relevant agencies, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, our partners, and sponsors who have always placed their trust in VCF and are accompanying us in bringing the best possible lives and futures to these children. VCF is committed to continuing to provide better healthcare and education services for disadvantaged children in Vietnam so that no child is left behind.”

The program is divided into three phases. Phase 1 involved completing 1,924 detailed surveys to assess each child. Phase 2, focusing on medical treatment support, was implemented in 2022. Phase 3 provides long-term care with medical and educational services for the children, while expanding support to disadvantaged children in Ho Chi Minh City.
