Inauguration of Ba Do Bridge in Soc Trang

Ba Do Bridge across My Binh River is 22m long, 5m wide, with a total investment of more than 1.1 billion VND from the socialized source of the Ministry of Transport .

On the morning of December 8, at My Phuoc hamlet, My Binh commune, Nga town, Soc Trang province, Nga Nam town People's Committee held the inauguration ceremony of Ba Do bridge, built from socialized funds of the Ministry of Transport.

Delegates performed the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong, Chairman of the Vietnam Transport Trade Union, said that the construction of Ba Do bridge is of great significance, not only helping people and students in neighboring localities in the area to have convenient and easy travel conditions, but also creating more favorable conditions for people to trade and transport goods in the area.

This project contributes to the completion of the rural traffic bridge system, effectively serving the promotion of socio -economic development and the lives of local people.

Mr. Pham Hoai Phuong, Chairman of Vietnam Transport Trade Union, emphasized that the Ba Do project is of great significance.

According to the Chairman of the Vietnam Transport Trade Union, the project's early completion and putting into service for the people today is due to the efforts of local leaders, construction units, supervision consultants and related parties.

Especially the support and solidarity from local people to implement the project to ensure the set goals: quality, progress, safety and efficiency, worthy of being a project of the Party's will and the people's heart.

"In the coming time, to preserve, protect and effectively exploit the project, I hope that local leaders and people will continue to support the Ministry of Transport more by strictly managing and using the project for the right purpose, in accordance with the law on road protection corridors and ensuring traffic order and safety in the area," the Chairman of the Vietnam Transport Trade Union suggested.

Ba Do Bridge has a total investment of more than 1.1 billion VND.

Mr. Phan Truong Giang, Chairman of the People's Committee of My Binh Commune, said that My Phuoc is the most populous hamlet of the commune, with an elementary school and a middle school. Previously, to go to school, people had to go through a long detour to get to the bridge or take a boat to cross the river.

With the Ba Do tree, the government and people are very happy because of the convenient traffic conditions. At the same time, this project contributes to the locality completing the criteria for building rural traffic according to the national target program "Building new rural areas" in the period of 2021-2025 in My Binh commune.
