Every afternoon, I used to wander across the vast pineapple fields, watching the green of the pineapple leaves reaching up, catching the sun and wind. The fields at that time were like a green carpet, stretching to the horizon. The cool breeze blew through, carrying the sweet, pungent scent of the pandan leaves, mixed with the strong smell of the soil after plowing. In the midst of that vast space, sometimes the scent of ripe pineapple wafted in, sweet and nostalgic. The plump, golden pineapples glistened under the dry sunlight, standing out among the vast green of the leaves, making the whole field seem to light up. In the distance, the Tam Diep mountain range stood tall in the autumn mist, overlapping yet gentle, like a lifelong friend protecting the homeland's fields. In that scene, people's hearts seemed to calm down, letting childhood memories flood back, pure, gentle and unforgettable.
Today, the whole company was diligently practicing tactics on the training ground, and I caught the first cool breeze of the season. Under the dry, golden sunshine of September, the wind suddenly blew, gently brushing past my face, past the brim of my pith helmet, and then crept into the rows of trees. In just a moment, the wind cooled my sweat, making my footsteps on the training ground more exciting.
The soldier, accustomed to the scorching sun and intense training hours, now felt a strange sense of relief when he encountered that cool breeze. The cool breeze not only dispelled the heat, but also brought relaxation, helping the soldier love life, the training ground, and his daily work more. In that moment, I saw smiles on my comrades’ tanned faces, their eyes lit up with confidence, as if the cool breeze had brought a new source of energy.
Perhaps, the cool breeze of autumn is always like that, simple yet poignant. It is both reminiscent and present, and it nourishes the silent emotions in each person. When the cool breeze comes, autumn also comes. On the green pineapple fields, mixed with the yellow color of ripe fruit, in the distance is the Tam Diep range, and on the training ground filled with the sound of shouts, the cool breeze is still the same - it is a sweet gift from heaven and earth. And in that breeze, I suddenly feel my heart clearer, feel the strong bond of comradeship more solid. The cool breeze blows, carrying faith and hope, so that the soldiers can walk firmly on the road ahead.
