"The artificial turf surface is very hard, harder than natural grass. Experienced players are used to the artificial turf, but some players have not yet adapted. That is the difficulty of the Vietnamese team," striker Bui Vi Hao shared at the pre-match press conference. "However, we will prepare carefully and adapt best for the match with the Philippines."

Coach Kim Sang-sik also emphasized that the coaching staff has solutions to help players get used to the rhythm of play on artificial turf.

Young striker Vi Hao was given a starting position in the opening match against Laos, then sat on the bench in the match against Indonesia. Born in 2003, Vi Hao only wore the U.23 Vietnam shirt in May, after that he was called up to the Vietnam national team by coach Kim Sang-sik and given the opportunity to show his talent.

Vi Hao scored against Nam Dinh FC in a closed friendly match in November. A month before, the young striker from Binh Duong also scored against India, bringing a 1-1 draw for the Vietnamese team.

Vi Hao is a rare U.23 face (along with Van Khang, Trung Kien) remaining in the national team, among a forest of experienced seniors. In the match against the Philippines, the 21-year-old striker may continue to be given the opportunity.
