(Baothanhhoa.vn) - On the morning of March 28, the Thanh Hoa Literature and Arts Association held a conference to summarize its literature and arts work in 2024 and to implement tasks for 2025; award the Le Thanh Tong Literature and Arts Prize, the 2024 Literature and Arts Prize, and launch the songwriting competition "Proud of Thanh Hoa".

Attending the conference were: Comrade Dau Thanh Tung, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Artist Luong Xuan Doan, Chairman of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association; representatives from the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Internal Affairs, and a large number of artists from Thanh Hoa province.

In 2024, the cultural and artistic life of Thanh Hoa province was vibrant and active, with many meaningful and practical activities that had a wide-ranging impact. With a proactive and creative spirit, more than 500 members from 11 specialized committees of the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts produced hundreds of valuable works, demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility.

The Thanh Hoa Association of Literature and Arts, along with its affiliated specialized committees, has presided over and coordinated the organization of many notable events and programs such as: the 23rd Vietnam Poetry Day, the 29th Northern Central Vietnam Fine Arts Exhibition in Thanh Hoa... contributing to honoring the contributions of artists and writers in the process of building and developing the homeland and the country; widely promoting the image, culture, and people of Thanh Hoa to friends nationwide.

Also this year, VNS Thanh Hoa was excited and enthusiastic about the return of the 5-year Le Thanh Tong Arts and Culture Award, with a grand prize of up to 100 million VND.

The Provincial Association of Literature and Arts pays close attention to the process of reviewing funding for publishing and supporting the promotion of works. Field trips for creative work have yielded many positive results. Following these trips, many members have produced works in various fields.

Clubs sponsored by the Thanh Hoa Association of Literature and Arts, such as the Lam Son Young Artists Club, the Thanh Hoa Young Architects Club, the Thanh Hoa Female Artists Club, the Thanh Hoa Calligraphy Club, the Young Literature Club, and the Mountain Ethnic Literature Club, are actively operating. The Thanh Hoa Literature and Arts Magazine is considered one of the top six local literature and arts magazines nationwide.

Thousands of valuable works in literature, theater, music, fine arts, and photography have been created, vividly depicting socio-economic life, honoring the rich cultural traditions of Thanh Hoa, contributing to enriching the national cultural treasure and spreading the image and values ​​of the land and people of Thanh Hoa to all parts of the country.”

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Dau Thanh Tung, suggested that the team of artists and writers should continue to uphold their spirit and creativity, continue to be pioneers on the ideological front, contributing to building Thanh Hoa people who are aspirational, courageous, and humane.

In particular, the Association needs to create favorable conditions for artists to immerse themselves in reality and create works that reflect the aspirations of the people of Thanh Hoa, linked to the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, guiding people towards truth, goodness, and beauty, contributing to building a civilized and modern Thanh Hoa people while still preserving the soul of the nation and homeland...

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Dau Thanh Tung, requested that departments, agencies, and localities in the province continue to pay attention to and promptly resolve the difficulties, obstacles, and legitimate requests of the Thanh Hoa Association of Literature and Arts, creating favorable conditions for the task of building the spiritual life of the people and preserving and promoting cultural strength in the new period.

At the conference, the Thanh Hoa Association of Literature and Arts awarded the first Le Thanh Tong Literature and Arts Prize, covering the period 2016-2021, to 39 works by 36 authors and 3 co-authors, with 1 work selected for the special prize, 6 works for the A prize, 13 works for the B prize, and 19 works for the C prize.

The 2024 Thanh Hoa Provincial Annual Arts and Culture Awards also selected and awarded prizes to 50 works by 49 authors and 1 co-author; including 7 works winning the A prize, 15 works winning the B prize, 17 works winning the C prize, and 11 works receiving the encouragement prize.

The Thanh Hoa Association of Literature and Arts awarded membership certificates to 18 new members and presented Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Association of Literature and Arts to 9 collectives and 30 individuals for outstanding achievements in literary and artistic work and creativity. Four authors who won specialized awards at the central level were awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province.

On this occasion, the Thanh Hoa Association of Literature and Arts launched the "Proud of Thanh Hoa" songwriting competition for 2025.
