The aspiration for progress of the Ancestral Land
The former provinces of Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, and Hoa Binh are rich in historical, cultural, and revolutionary traditions, bordering Hanoi and belonging to the Capital Region. After merging to form the new Phu Tho province, opportunities have opened up to create a multi-centered, highly integrated development model, ensuring both the preservation of tradition and a modern future, with many outstanding potentials and advantages such as: a large development space, bordering seven provinces and cities, located on major national economic corridors, and especially close to the capital city of Hanoi.
Diverse inter-regional connectivity infrastructure (high-speed roads, high-speed rail, inland waterways, proximity to Noi Bai International Airport) acts as a natural logistics hub for the region. The rich natural ecosystem, diverse topography with many large rivers flowing through it, numerous scenic spots, historical relics, and famous tourist areas and destinations nationwide; fully embodying the distinctive cultural nuances of the midland, mountainous, and lowland regions of Northern Vietnam.
With a scale and quality of education among the best in the country, a young population structure, and abundant labor resources, Phu Tho province already has an ecosystem of several key national industries; many industrial parks and new urban areas have been and are being developed, creating a foundation for comprehensive development in the new phase.
Building upon the achievements of previous periods, the Resolution of the First Congress of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, has set the following goals: By 2030, Phu Tho will be one of the growth poles of the Capital Region; becoming a center for the development of industry, trade, logistics, tourism, healthcare, high-quality training, and the organization of major cultural festivals associated with the nation's origins; and a center for organizing national and international events.
The economy is experiencing high growth rates, driven primarily by science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, and the private sector. The infrastructure is modern and well-developed. Cultural heritage is preserved and its value is promoted.
A harmoniously developed society, a clean ecological environment, a comprehensively improved quality of life, and a people with high incomes, civility, and happiness. It plays a pivotal role in ensuring energy security, national defense, security, and regional connectivity.
To concretize the goals and tasks, the Provincial Party Committee has issued many strategic and comprehensive policies in all fields; including identifying 9 socio-economic development tasks, developing 24 key projects, and specifying 35 targets and groups of targets for the 2026-2030 period.
In particular, Phu Tho province has issued a plan for double-digit economic growth for the period 2026-2030, with a vision to 2045, linked to the establishment of a Steering Committee and inter-sectoral and inter-field coordination mechanism to strengthen the centralized and unified direction of the Provincial Party Committee on key growth drivers; building major solutions on the application of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation to improve the efficiency of the political system's governance, focusing on transforming traditional governance methods to one based on "accurate, complete, clean, and vibrant" data, forming a province-wide shared data system and applying digital technology in administrative management.
Proactively improving the investment and business environment, and recognizing businesses as development partners, Phu Tho province has identified the development of the private economy as the most important driving force for the province's economic development, a pioneering force in innovation, digital transformation, and international integration; developing the foreign-invested economy in a way that attracts selective investment, linked with the development of domestic enterprises, based on a mutually beneficial relationship; prioritizing the attraction of projects with advanced technology, new technology, high technology, clean technology, modern management, high added value, and commitment to technology transfer; creating spillover effects, expanding market networks, and deeply participating in global supply chains.
Based on that, the province prioritizes accelerating the construction of strategic transportation infrastructure, industrial parks, industrial clusters, and logistics infrastructure. To date, the province has planned 57 industrial parks with a total area of over 14,000 hectares; of which 30 industrial parks have received investment approval (18 industrial parks are operational, and 12 industrial parks are under construction); this is an important land resource, creating opportunities to attract large-scale projects in the fields of electronics, semiconductors, electric vehicles, supporting industries, and modern logistics...
The province has also developed a plan to attract strategic investors and a plan to guide the flow of new-generation foreign direct investment (FDI) for the period 2026-2030, based on the principle of "clean land - synchronized infrastructure - fast public services"; and implemented a "green channel" mechanism in resolving administrative procedures to serve the goal of double-digit economic growth in the area.
Recognizing that the business community and entrepreneurs are not only the target of service but also key stakeholders contributing to the policy-making process and local development, Phu Tho province has made concerted efforts to significantly improve the investment and business environment, accelerate administrative reforms, promote digital transformation, and enhance the quality of service for citizens and businesses.
At the same time, we are committed to building a transparent, stable, safe, and competitive investment environment, creating the most favorable conditions for investors to confidently conduct long-term production and business activities in the locality, following the motto "Investors investing in Phu Tho are citizens of Phu Tho".
The fact that Phu Tho is among the top 5 localities with the best economic governance quality in the country according to the PCI assessment results in 2025 reflects the confidence that the business community places in the province's commitment and persistent efforts.

Attracting FDI is linked to deep and substantive international integration.
The province is also implementing a synchronized and unified approach to attracting new-generation FDI, in line with the central government's policies and directions on proactively and comprehensively integrating into the international community in a synchronized and effective manner, promoting diplomacy to serve development, with a focus on economic diplomacy.
This has been concretized by the province through practical action plans and programs, most notably the strategic cooperation relationship between Phu Tho and its Thai partners. As of the end of May 2026, Phu Tho province had attracted 747 FDI projects with registered capital exceeding US$14.5 billion, from investors from 28 countries and territories; including 15 FDI projects from Thai enterprises that are being effectively implemented with a total investment of over US$416 million, covering almost all key sectors from manufacturing and processing, industrial infrastructure to trade and services.
Towards the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Thailand (1976 - 2026) and to promote the realization of the "Three Connections" vision, focusing on connecting supply chains, connecting local economies and businesses, and connecting sustainable development strategies, the aim is to open up a vast space for cooperation for the business communities of both countries and localities, including Phu Tho province.
On June 17-18, Phu Tho province, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Thai Embassy in Vietnam, organized the "Connecting Thailand in Phu Tho 2026" conference. This was not merely a forum to promote economic cooperation, but also a bridge connecting cultures, a space for new development, and marked a significant transformation for Phu Tho province on the map of regional and international integration, contributing to the deeper and more substantive development of the Vietnam-Thailand Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The conference also strongly affirmed that Phu Tho is always ready to be a reliable link, proactively welcoming the wave of shifting investments, and working with Thai partners to realize the goal of increasing bilateral trade turnover to 25 billion USD and aiming for 50 billion USD in the near future.
To achieve the goal of building Phu Tho province into an increasingly prosperous, thriving, civilized, and happy place, the successful cooperation story between Phu Tho and its Thai partners and the "Connecting Thailand in Phu Tho 2026" event serves as a model demonstrating Phu Tho's message of always welcoming global businesses and investors with the strongest commitments to action, sharing a vision and achieving success in the new era of national development.
