The heavy rains and floods at the end of 2025 caused the collapse of three pedestrian suspension bridges in Nam Khanh Vinh commune: the Cau Ba - Khanh Nam inter-commune suspension bridge, the Cha Lien village suspension bridge, and the Da Trang village suspension bridge connecting the production areas of the people in Da Trang and Cha Lien villages. Immediately after the floods subsided, the Provincial People's Committee allocated funds for reconstruction; the Nam Khanh Vinh Commune People's Committee approved the investment plan, decided on the economic and technical report, and the Commune People's Council issued a resolution allocating funds for the reconstruction of these three projects with a total investment of over 15 billion VND. To date, the investment process has been completed, and the projects are currently under construction.

Observations at the Cau Ba - Khanh Nam inter-communal suspension bridge and the Da Trang village suspension bridge, along both banks of the Cai River, show that workers and excavators are being assembled to prepare for the foundation pouring, pillar construction, and abutment building of the suspension bridge. Ms. Ca Thi Danh (Da Trang village) shared that since the suspension bridge was swept away by floods, people have faced great difficulties having to use rafts and ropes to cross the Cai River to reach their production areas; traveling by road requires going around the commune center, a distance of more than 20km. This is the cassava harvesting season, and previously, transporting goods across the suspension bridge was very easy, but now people have to carry each small bag across the river by boat. " People are hoping for the suspension bridge to be completed soon so that travel and transportation of agricultural products can be faster and more cost-effective," Ms. Danh shared.

In Tay Khanh Vinh commune, the recent floods caused one bridge to completely collapse and two others to be severely damaged, preventing residents from traveling and transporting goods. The water supply system was also damaged, disrupting the provision of clean water to residents. Many sections of river and stream embankments suffered serious erosion, directly affecting houses, land, and agricultural land of many households. Regarding transportation infrastructure, the commune has five severely damaged roads; four culverts and bridges have been damaged by landslides; and many schools have been damaged and require repair and reinforcement. Particularly, at Gia Loi bridge, floodwaters washed away 40 meters of asphalt road, and the bridge abutments were severely damaged, directly impacting the daily lives and production of people in the area.
