On the afternoon of September 24th, singer Hong Nhung held a press conference to share details about her upcoming documentary series "Relaxing with Bong" and her live concert "Hong Nhung Sings About Hanoi ".
Hong Nhung Stories - Leisurely with Bong is a series of documentary films that portray beautiful stories told by Hong Nhung through her travels and encounters.
The first episode of the series, titled "Leisurely Hanoi," is scheduled to premiere at 9:00 AM on September 28th on singer Hong Nhung's YouTube channel.
Meanwhile, the live concert "Hong Nhung Sings About Hanoi" will take place on November 30th at the Ho Guom Theater (Hanoi).
This is the first time singer Hong Nhung has organized a concert about Hanoi, featuring songs associated with her name and Hanoi songs that are being performed on Hong Nhung's stage for the first time.
At a media meeting, singer Hong Nhung stated that she clearly felt the changes in herself after living and working in France for two years. Prior to that, she had spent a lot of time studying in England and the United States. But it was only after being in France that she saw the significant and interesting changes within herself. Because her time there, her daily exposure to various art forms from music , painting, and film, helped her realize the most crucial thing she needed to do at this time.
She will no longer be singer Hong Nhung, but artist Hong Nhung.
"There will no longer be singer Hong Nhung. Instead, I will call myself artist Hong Nhung. Because an artist is associated with a mission. It's time for me to direct all my activities towards things that are beneficial to society and meaningful to everyone," Hong Nhung stated.
One of the missions she says she must fulfill is protecting the environment. "This is something I've been doing for many years and will pursue for the rest of my life, until I die," Hong Nhung said.
And Hong Nhung's future musical projects will also be closely linked to the mission she pursues. These will not simply be the usual musical products of the past, but instead will focus on community and social issues.
"I also write many songs. Now, Hong Nhung not only sings but can also compose, dance, and more… In her new chapter, people will see a different Hong Nhung. An artist Hong Nhung with many meaningful things," she added.
