Thousands of people and tourists gathered in a space filled with national culture colors to enjoy traditional music and literature performances performed by Hoai Thanh, Mai Tran Lam and Tam Linh Viet Orchestra.
The stage is beautifully decorated, creating a traditional architectural space close to the people's life and associated with the birth and existence of the Van singing genre by co-pillars and ancient temple and covered roofs. The program introducer appeared and talked about Van singing with short and concise words: "Hat Van is a unique folk performing art form associated with the Vietnamese belief in worshiping the Mother Goddess of the Three Palaces. Experiencing hundreds of years of ups and downs, with unique artistic values and lasting vitality in cultural life, in 2012, Chau Van ritual was included in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The ceremony of adoration is also one of the important factors contributing to making "The Vietnamese people's practice of worshiping the Mother Goddesses of the Three Palaces" become the representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity, inscribed by UNESCO in 2016. Artist Hoai Thanh appeared with the Tam Linh Viet Orchestra, bringing to the audience the songs that go to the heart of the people: "The Third Great Quan", "Mr.
With a simple singing style, using the technique of bouncing seeds and flying in the regulation of volume and words, Hoai Thanh has sent the souls of Ha Nam people into Van's songs imbued with identity. Mr. Le Cuong, a tourist from Hanoi commented: “I listen to Van singing a lot, but his singing style is very elegant, very sophisticated. Hoai Thanh is young, but his voice and handling of Van singing technique are very flexible, making the songs flexible and moving into people's hearts.
Mr. Tran Vinh Thuy, representative of Viet Event Co., Ltd., the organizer of this event shared: We are allowed by the City People's Committee to organize this event to contribute to Ha Nam Culture and Tourism Week 2023 and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan. This is the place where every month, the province's Chau Van singing club organizes its activities. Therefore, for the people of the city, singing Van has become familiar. But at this time, when the province was organizing a Culture and Tourism Week with a series of large and small events, the company had the idea to do this program, inviting artist Hoai Thanh and his associates to perform to serve the people.
This new and creative way of Viet Event has made the atmosphere of the pedestrian street in general and the art show in the cultural space in particular bring a new nuance. Old people, children, elegant men and women present in this space are all immersed in the melodious music, in sublime, emotional dances... Looking at this scene, it is clear that bringing Van singing on stage, or going into the street in the way that the city has done for so long, has brought a new life to Van singing.
Mr. Ho Diep, Luong Khanh Thien ward, Phu Ly city expressed: "Ha Nam is one of the cradles of Cheo singing and Van singing. City people, though very fond of these art forms, have few conditions to go to the temple door, the gate to see and enjoy. It is known that the environment and conditions for the existence of Van singing are those places, but in order for it to live and promote its values in the spiritual life of the people, the theatricalization of Van singing is also a good way for people to enjoy the traditional art of their ancestors. Today, Viet Event can organize an art show on this scale, which really makes the city people happy.”
After the performances of Van singing, singer Mai Tran Lam served the people and tourists many songs Borelo, lyrical and revolutionary tradition. Viewers sat until the last minute of the show. Ms. Tran Thi Yen, Tran Hung Dao ward said: "Today in the provincial cultural center opened the National Festival of Excerpts or Theater Arts, but we chose to stay in the old Bien Hoa cinema yard to enjoy Van singing and interact with artists. Really, this choice of ours has been very accurate, the program is rustic but goes into people's hearts.”
