Regarding the hundreds of parents surrounding Tay Mo 3 Primary School to ask for their children to be admitted and request the school to publicly announce its admission method, today, August 27, the Department of Education and Training of Nam Tu Liem District announced the final solution.
Parents waited until the night of August 21 at Tay Mo 3 Primary School hoping to get a place for their children.
The Department of Education and Training of Nam Tu Liem District said it has established a working group to review school transfer applications and agreed with the schools' proposals as follows:
Dai Mo 3 Primary School will receive 75 students from Ly Nam De Primary School; 38 students from Dai Mo Primary School (if they have sufficient residential records in Dai Mo Ward); receive 139 students from other schools (if they have sufficient residential records in Tay Mo Ward or Dai Mo Ward, Nam Tu Liem District); receive 35 students from other schools (if they have sufficient residential records in Dai Mo Ward, Nam Tu Liem District).
Tay Mo Primary School receives 17 students from Ly Nam De Primary School; receives 19 students from Tay Mo 3 Primary School and receives 62 students from other schools (if there are sufficient records of residence in Tay Mo Ward).
Ly Nam De Primary School allowed 92 students to withdraw their applications to transfer to Tay Mo Primary School and Dai Mo 3 Primary School; proposed the District People's Committee to strengthen facilities to create conditions to improve the quality of education .
Regarding Tay Mo 3 Primary School, where parents "surrounded" the school gate on August 21 to register their children for admission, the Department of Education and Training of Nam Tu Liem District informed: after the separation, the school had 30 classes with 1,111 students (21 students requested to transfer, 1,090 students remained), the school did not accept more students due to inadequate facilities.
Parents 'surrounded' school because their children had no place to study: reviewing and classifying 460 applications for study
The Department of Education and Training requested Dai Mo 3 Primary School and Tay Mo Primary School to publicize the list of students accepted for transfer and instruct parents to complete transfer procedures before 5:00 p.m. on August 30 to stabilize the organization before the 2024-2025 school year.
Previously, on August 23, the Department of Education and Training of Nam Tu Liem District announced the process of handling parents' requests and said that only 4 public primary schools in the area can accept applications, including: Tay Mo, Tay Mo 3, Dai Mo 3 and Ly Nam De; the time to receive applications is until 12 noon on August 26. Parents need to submit an application to transfer to one of the 4 schools above according to their wishes.
By 12 noon on August 26, there were 385 applications to transfer to Dai Mo 3 Primary School and Tay Mo Primary School, specifically: Dai Mo 3 Primary School received 287 applications to enter the school, including 75 applications from Ly Nam De Primary School, 38 applications from Dai Mo Primary School, and 174 applications from other schools;
Tay Mo Primary School received 98 applications, including 17 from Ly Nam De Primary School, 19 from Tay Mo 3 Primary School and 62 from other schools.
Previously, the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District said that Tay Mo 3 is a public primary school and is for children in the ward. After separating grades 2, 3, 4, 5 and recruiting new grade 1, the total number of students is 30 classes with 1,111 students, exceeding the target compared to the regulations (30 classes with a maximum of 1,050 students).
All students (grades 2, 3, 4, 5) separated from Tay Mo Primary School and newly recruited (grade 1) are in Tay Mo Ward, in the right enrollment area (belonging to residential groups 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and buildings that have not yet established residential groups in Vinhomes Smart City urban area, Tay Mo Ward).
First grade students are recruited according to regulations, with the right target with the registration quota of 400. However, due to the rapid population growth rate, the enrollment exceeded the quota by 60 (460 students, divided into 13 classes). Those who do not submit their application within the prescribed time are considered to have no need.
However, 520 parents still applied for their children to study at Tay Mo 3 Primary School because the school is near their home but they do not know when the enrollment will begin.
