The annual Hung Temple Festival and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week is an opportunity for every Vietnamese citizen and overseas Vietnamese to turn their thoughts towards the Ancestral Land – the origin of the Vietnamese nation. It is also an opportunity for Phu Tho to spread the unique cultural identity of the Ancestral Land region, enhance promotional activities, boost tourism development, attract domestic and international tourists, increase the rate of overnight stays and high spending in the province, and contribute positively to the province's socio-economic growth.

The Hung Temple Festival and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week in the year of the Snake 2025 will take place from March 29th to April 7th, 2025 (corresponding to the 1st to 10th day of the 3rd lunar month), with a series of joyful and wholesome activities closely linked to cultural, sports , and tourism events, showcasing the unique cultural identity of the Ancestral Land region.

Ms. Vu Thi Hoai Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, shared: The Hung Temple Festival and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week in 2025 is an opportunity for Phu Tho province to introduce to domestic and international tourists the unique beauty of the ancestral land with the sacred Hung Temple, the rustic Xoan folk songs, the vast Long Coc tea hills, the relaxing Thanh Thuy mineral springs, the majestic Xuan Son National Park, the poetic Ao Gioi - Suoi Tien... All blend together into a vibrant picture of nature and culture, captivating hearts and attracting tourists to Phu Tho. One of the typical events in the Program is the "Colorful Tourism of the Ancestral Land - Phu Tho 2025" event, aiming to promote and introduce the tourism image and characteristic products of the Ancestral Land and localities in the region that are linked to Phu Tho province in tourism development.

The event features approximately 80 booths showcasing and promoting the tourism potential of businesses, tourist areas and destinations, traditional craft products, OCOP products, and specialties from Phu Tho province and other regions across the country. In addition, there are spaces for visitors to check in, experience Phu Tho's tourism products, and enjoy culinary demonstrations. A variety of engaging cultural and artistic activities, including street music, will continuously take place throughout the event, contributing to meeting the cultural needs of local people and tourists visiting Phu Tho.

Mr. Cao Dang Duy, Director of Hung Lo Rice Noodle Cooperative (Viet Tri), shared: "The cooperative hopes to connect with more consumers to promote the cooperative's products in particular, and products from Phu Tho province and other provinces in general, to customers nationwide. This is a good opportunity for businesses and localities to promote specialty products to domestic and international consumers and tourists, and to participate in an effective supply and consumption chain in domestic and international markets."

Ms. Tran Thi Huyen Van, a tourist from Hanoi, shared: "I was very excited to visit, learn about, and enjoy the characteristic products of Phu Tho and other localities at the 'Colorful Tourism of the Ancestral Land' program. On this occasion, my friends and I learned more about agricultural products, cakes, and food items from our homeland, skillfully prepared by the locals, preserving their flavor while being beautifully packaged, making them suitable as gifts."

The Hung Kings Commemoration Day and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week in the year of the Snake (2025) will continue to be an opportunity for Phu Tho province to affirm its position as a national center for cultural, ecological, and spiritual tourism. With over 300 festivals, Phu Tho – the land of origins – is one of the provinces with the most festivals in the country. Traditional folk festivals still retain their unique characteristics, such as: the traditional festival of Lang Suong Temple (Thanh Thuy district); the festival of Tru Mat Temple (Phu Tho town); the festival of Van Luong Temple, the festival of King Hung teaching people to cultivate rice (Viet Tri city); the festival of Nha Ba Temple (Phu Ninh district); the festival of Ngoc Tan communal house (Doan Hung district); the festival of Gia Du village communal house, the festival of Quang Huc village communal house (Tam Nong district)...

In addition, Phu Tho province also has many historical and cultural relics and beautiful scenic spots. Notable among them is the Hung Temple National Historical Relic Site – a unique and sacred cultural space of the Vietnamese people; Long Coc tea hill, My Thuan tea hill, Ao Chau lagoon, Van Hoi lagoon, Mo waterfall... are picturesque natural landscapes in this midland region.

“Phu Tho – Go to Love” is a tourism stimulus program with many rich and attractive contents aimed at inviting and stimulating tourists from all over to visit Phu Tho not only during holidays but throughout the year through promotional programs, discounted services, and attractive tours, showcasing Phu Tho as a destination of origin and diverse tourism experiences.

The provincial tourism sector has collaborated with tourism businesses and travel agencies to launch a series of programs to stimulate demand and attract tourists to Phu Tho, such as: 15-30% discounts on food and accommodation services; free vouchers for experiences such as Xoan singing, drumming, tea picking, making Hung Lo rice noodles, wrapping banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes), and pounding banh giay (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes)... Through these initiatives, the province will boost tourism promotion and marketing; develop and innovate tourism products and services; link tourism development at tourist areas, destinations, and service establishments in the area; and enhance the tourist experience through rich, diverse, and high-quality tourism programs.

According to Ms. Vu Thi Hoai Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province: The province will organize communication activities to announce and launch the Phu Tho tourism stimulus program in 2025 with products, services, and tours participating in the stimulus program, especially through social media platforms, tourism websites, and electronic information pages... Information and introductions will be made to media agencies, press, and travel agencies inside and outside the province regarding Phu Tho's tourism stimulus packages. The entire industry will be encouraged to participate in the tourism stimulus program, implementing promotional combo packages with discounted services and guaranteed quality to serve tourists... aiming to increase the number of tourists visiting Phu Tho. Organizing cultural and sports events, meetings, conferences, seminars, activities in response to the traditional day of the Vietnamese Tourism industry, World Tourism Day, and promotional activities for Phu Tho tourism through various forms... The province also focuses on ensuring the safety of tourists, raising public awareness about preserving the landscape, protecting the environment, and creating an image of Phu Tho tourism as "Safe, friendly, and attractive". Functional forces will strengthen inspections and handle the situation of price gouging and harassment of tourists, ensuring a professional and sustainable tourism environment.

It can be said that the "Hung Temple Festival and Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week in the Year of the Snake 2025" is an important event, attracting people and tourists from both within and outside the country to the Ancestral Land. Therefore, promoting and organizing tourism events during this period is an effective way to promote and enhance the image of Phu Tho tourism, building Phu Tho as an attractive and important destination on the Vietnamese tourism map.
